So you injected into a vein, now what?

I aspirate and still hit a vein so i get your point... but for 2 seconds of your time why not? If you really don't want to then fair enough! When you inevitably hit a vein though fuck me its scary!

Like i said above, oil in the works can be bad news

There is no vacuum in an artery or vein, only positive pressure. If you experience a vacuum when aspirating you're likley into a pocket in deep muscle tissue.

Is this a good or bad thing? Does it also mean one should use a shorter needle? 1" vs 1.5"

The one thing that still seems to be a mystery to me is if one location vs another has a greater "absorption" rate - or is this not really relevant?

I believe quads and glutes are best. Delts arent quite as good. And I'm not a big fan of going anywhere else.

No its not a "bad thing". The needle length should be determined on the amount of body fat you have and the location you choose to inject.

And i dont believe, necessarily, that one location is better than another. Having said that, we all have our preferences based upon a variety of reasons but not simply because one area absorbs more efficiently than another.

Had this happen to me recently and i aspirated no blood came back so i injected, then as i pulled the 22g back a huge spurt of blood spit out into my shower door. Luckily no cough or any sides. I just quickly applied heavy pressure for a minute and it stopped. Must have sliced through a vein but when aspirated didnt draw until i pulled out. No biggie.

I felt a little weird and starting coughing even felt a little dizzy this morning ..I read this happens when you go through a Vein NOT inject in one. The symptoms are way worse.

Think I hit a vein this morning. Couldn’t breath for a few minutes along with serious coughing. 3 hours later and my lungs are still burning and a little light headed.

Whenever I hit a vein I get that nasty cough, even when injecting test. Sure is scary stuff when that happens.

"Aspiration before injection of vaccines or toxoids (i.e., pulling back on the syringe plunger after needle insertion but before injection) is not necessary because no large blood vessels are present at the recommended injection sites"

IME i saw that insuline syringe like 27G in to the quad feels fantastic, either substances.
