Realized I didn’t answer your question really. I’m pretty sure the 1:2 ratio is just general health and diet guidelines by the FDA, CDC etcWhere can i find info about the correct ratio?
i cant find anything

I just grabbed some of thisNo salt salt. It is potassium.
Magnesium is a good idea, too.
No problem dudeYes i did alot of reading. So far a 1:1 ratio was apparent in the articles.
Thank you for your answers.
do you use the same amount of salt and potassium from a bulk vs a cut?
i know you said a couple weeks out from a show you did a certain protocol.
So on a normal timeframe how much sodium do you supplement with? Do you track it. This is my last question lol. I really appreciate the info.No problem dude
To clarify- I cut weight because I fight professionally, so this isn’t for aesthetics it’s for a weigh-in. Salt manipulation isn’t something I worry about most of the time, I just have to make sure I eat enough because I sweat a lot.
Bulking and cutting is as hunger and dehydration dictates. Cutting will likely have less sodium just because you’re eating a smaller volume of food.
Haha you’re good dude. If I had to guess I’m probably anywhere from 4-6000 mg sodium a day. I also drink 1.5-2 gallons of water a day, but that’s because I do 2 workouts a day; lifting in the morning and training mma at night so I lose a lot of fluidSo on a normal timeframe how much sodium do you supplement with? Edit i actually just realized tou said you dont worry about it most of the time.

I dontHow do you guys change your water and sodium intake from training to no training days?
have you considered getting potassium from food? I notice a difference in supplements vs more bioavailable electrolytes4 says with increased sodium and 3 days into increased potassium. Maybe my BP is a little higher but not much so far. Doing 1.5 tsp of each. . 5 teaspoon 3 x a day. Will see how it is in a week or two.
With the food i eat i probably do already get alot. But would never be able to equal the amount that i get this way. Baby steps.I
I dont

These amounts are in addition to sodium taken in through your diet? Or are these the amounts you strive to hit at the top end daily?1.5 tsp=3180 mg sodium, 1/4 tsp is 530 mg sodium
1.5 tsp =4100 mg potassium, 1/4 tsp is 690 mg potassium.
i am taking “no salt” a potassium chloride, it does have 2-3 more ingredients too.
