Prior to PC , media used in brewing is washed with alconox solution and distilled water. then placed into sterilization bags. They are then placed into the pressure cooker which has had distilled water placed in its bottom. The pressure cooker is brought to a minimum of 17psi and a goal psi of 20 with modification of the pressure regulating device and held there for at least 20 minutes. The sterilization bags helps prevent condensation forming on the vials. Vials are done in a room with minimal air flow to prevent contamination.
