West Texas I gotta admit I'm not familiar with, but I'm thinking that you don't have a pothole season there, as in mid-Feb through, priceless! I've bent 2 BBS', even 1 with a serious sidewall, 245/40-17, and a different car cracked an Enkei lengthwise, about a 30mm crack, around 1.25" in freedom units. Had 215/50-17s on them, manufacturer recommended size, and not cheap ass tires either, IIRC I was running either Sumitomo or Continentals, just can't recall now. Oh yeah, those BBS'? Bent at about 20 mph. Fuck pothole season! I've even bubbled a runflat Pirelli Centauro, not sure on spelling, but another sidewall tire, 245/40/18.Mustangs are excellent vehicles too. I just prefer the look of he challenger.
As far as rub no havent had any issues. The wheelwell (at least in the rear) cant fit 325s with some offset adjustments. Only reason I chose 295s is that I have a standard variant with stock 9.5" wheels. Didnt feel like upgrading at the time. Wanted to see if it even made a difference as far as hooking and Ive only noticed a slight difference - but the roads out here in West TX are dusty as all hell.
Funny coincidence, the Hellcats are no joke at all, I'm just a Mustang guy. Past 30 years I've had no less than 5 foxes, a 95 Cobra (last 5.0 back then), and an SVO. Between them and my RX7s and Datsun Z's I've owned, I guess we could call me a car guy too, nice to run into another one where you least expect it . I get the feeling that you may have loved my insane Camaro project back when I was a kid, 1976 Camaro that looked like shit, add 1 358 Modified engine from the D.I.R.T. racing circuit backed up with a Saginaw 4spd, proceed to drive 60mph in 3rd, stomp on the gas and smoke show! The C4 was new still, made those guys feel so so bad lol. Never dynod myself, but the PO that I worked with at the time sold the engine because after teardowns he was apparently a cheater with too much power. 750hp and ???tq is the norm, so I figure I was running at least 750HP, and the tq was like the hand of god pushing me up the street lol. Damn, I miss that car
