Stop spoon feeding these people!

I’ll also respond to this debate on engineering as it’s quite relivant to my experience.

There is a big difference in engineering between PE’s (professional Engineers) EIT’s (Engineers in training) and unlicensed Personel. If you have a degree in engineering the licensing board views you as a designer not an engineer. The full liability for lawsuits/loss of life is upon the sealing engineer and none of us are using youtube as a reference. The most I’ve ever done is watch an online video from some academic LEL (lower explosion Level for fire protection) calc to double check our own calc.
Right but at that level you’re taking about- you’re reviewing work done by a team.

When you studied for the PE- did you ever watch a video? Or if you’re young enough did you ever google a video on how to do a physics problem in college.

That’s what we’re talking about. Type II’s claim is that would be cheating.

Not YouTubing “should I stamp and seal this design” that comes with experience and goes without saying is unique with each project.

Quite an overgernalization, don’t you think?
Perhaps. My commments come from being a parent of 2 teenagers and my occupation. I train entry level employees for project management positions. They are always kids fresh out of college and what I said is true for about 99% of them, in my observations.

I’m not calling them stupid. You don’t know what you were never taught. And perhaps that is just fine for the society of the future BUT when you’re trying to do something off the radar, like buy or sell illicit drugs, those tools simply aren’t available. I’m just glad that drugs in general are more or less no concern for the FEDS (in the US anyways) because they will never get OPSEC down.

Thank you for your competency.

I joke all the time that I earned my engineering degree(s) from YouTube. There’s an abundance of incredible academic information on YouTube.

Studying university material is far different from practical industry application. Never once did I claim to skate by in my career relying on YouTube.

My claim is that there’s a wealth of knowledge on internet including YouTube. I will die on that hill, here, on the fucking internet.

as an edit: I too appreciate and respect @Type-IIx contributions to this community. Credit is given where it’s due.

Yes, @Type-IIx is quite a walking encyclopedia...very knowledgeable and made major contributions to the community. I'm sure his upcoming book be a good read for those interested in the internal workings of anabolics.

That would been a cool thesis topic no doubt!

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t waiting for the book.

I swear I read a post from him about the addition of T4 with GH not long ago. Along the lines of “if you aren’t using t4 with your GH you’re doing it wrong.” Wanted to find it again , convinced me to switch to T4 only instead of T3

The conversion process of T4 to T3 is important, or more specifically; the deiodinase enzymes 1 and 2, and both get lowered with T3 only supplementation.

I’m an engineering overlord so this phenomenon is very real but rather than being an idiot we call it “disciplinary blinders”. Basically the mechanicals will always address a problem with mech equipment when the solution might be to just move a wall. When your a PE you get damn good at addressing problem but those are confined to your discipline. It’s why on bigger/more complex projects we have interdisciplinary senior engineers and we work with the GC and architectural lead to fix things on the fly. I can’t tell you how many problems that stumped a full 12 person screen share session are solved in 15 min with just three people. You just need 20-30 years experience
I dident mean any disrespect I was just poking a little fun. Ofcourse any engineer is much more educated than me. Any Idea or fix i would ever draw up would absolutely have to be approved and signed off by a engereer, possably re calc the shear value or load bearing capacity of somthing ect,

I’m not even remotely offended, there are a shit ton of let’s say lesser experienced engineers who have no real world knowledge; contractors hate them because they end up with often overpriced designs. It’s why good contractors have internal designers that take the sometimes faulty vision and turn it into a reality the client actually can afford and real human beings can install. Theory and math is just the school part once past that the real world hits pretty hard and no contractor is going to hesitate to bus throw a green engineer.

There are people who will just come here and post to look for sources, that is not the point of these forums. On top of that, these people can put more effort into finding a legitimate source.
Like it or not, that is what it is. I registered 23 yrs ago for the same reason. The difference is there are many more sources to answer those questions now.

That's true, I think most of us ended up here for the same reason. However, once you give a go and start participating, you find interesting topics, learn something yourself and find some cool people. For example I don't have much people to chat with in real life about steroids. Here I can, if I want privacy I chat over pm. By reading and posting here on meso, I learned about Testosterone undecanoate and how people use it, so for that I'm thankful, not to mention of course sourcing it.
