Stop spoon feeding these people!

@Pinnacle Elements funny thing is we all laugh at engineers, even in my field of being a JW electrician. The things you put into your computer and draw up on blue beam or whatever stupid program you guys use doesn't mean anything if it doesn't actually work in the real world. This happens alot guys will say things can get done super fast trying to save money and get the bid and not factor in the human factor. Also they say things can always work, but things don't always work because materials fail. Such as wire lugs, wire nuts, electrical devices. Yet these items were designed by engineering. So just saying when you cut corners and don't put the hard work in its shown. Rather its based on time it takes to get a job done, or time to achieve the same affect that someone else can in a shorter amount of time because they have done it for 10-15 years. Not discrediting you but youtube electricians cause house fires and kill people.

This is the last one of these supper detailed responses I’ll write but her it is.

There are two types of engineering projects, the cheap /fast ones normally code minimum ones that require the contractor to do everything and the detailed/expensive ones. The ratio is probably 90/10 and most people will never even see a well engineered project in their lifetime; if you don’t work in tech, pharma or medical your going to only see permit focused plans that only take a few days to crank out and cost five times less to make, their whole focus is just getting the plans reviewer to approve it, function, cost optimization no and nope. As with most things it boils down to money.

Here’s an example: at (biggest chip maker in US) we took the 3d BIM models down to 1/2 accuracy, tools, conduit, Proccess piping, Fng everything. Code minimum is approximate location and dimensions just tagged right so basically a 2d square that’s labeled
