Many of these doctors if not all haven’t a clue of the long term effects of any drug. For instance my sister came off cymbalta in February and her withdrawals really kicked in around April. To this day her vertigo, depression and anxiety is through the roof. Studies of coming off cymbalta only go up to 2 weeks. She said she felt fine the first 2.i hear that, brother. The withdrawal from subs was worse than the withdrawal from the painkillers. Brutal.
Many years ago, a friend of mine was told by his doctor that "Suboxone isn't addictive and the withdrawal is all in your head".
Doctors and pharmacy companies are obviously necessary but patients need to be their own advocates.
Especially with today’s part socialized and part privatized system, doctors have more paperwork and are paid less so the quality of care is much less.
