@ROB581211 how did you like those Military style bench presses? I was wondering if the day after felt any different than normal?

I think I'm going to try that should press routine you did. The 10 front and then 10 back. I talked to my work out partner about it and he was physicked on it also!

I definitely like the military style ones. Those will be a must on the lighter weights. I can't say I felt a whole lot different the next day but I definitely got an instant pump from it.

I'm still trying to pack a few more pounds on before a cut a few calories out. I'd like to be in single digit BF by July which shouldn't be to hard to do.

As far as that press routine goes it will burn you up. On one of the lighter sets you can even go back and forth every rep. I meant to mix that in a just got side tracked I guess. You'll have to let me know how you like it.

Good luck on getting your BF down to single digits. I haven't been able to do that since I got into my 30's.
 
@ROB581211 look into Smolov/Smolov Jr. Just did Smolov JR for bench and my PR went up 20lbs in 4 weeks. which has you benching 3x week. Wasn't on cycle either. You could apply that to squats or just do the Meso cycle of the full Smolov rountine. Look into it. Depends on what your goals are strength or size?

Felt like my damn legs were going to fall off by the end of the night.
 
You evee thought about competiting in powerlifting and or body building? You would definitely place in top 3 for your weight class in a powerlifting comp.

I've considered it. Just don't feel like I have the time to commit to a comp. I'm not the type to half ass anything I do. With the amount that i work plus spending time with the wife. Something would have to take a hit and I'm not really willing to do that at the moment.
 
Cardio question? Do you guys do it? If so how often/type/intensity/duration. I've personally never been much on cardio. I always have abs regardless and stay fairly lean. The reason I ask is I want to keep on my current diet as it seems to be working pretty good but I want to start cutting some BF without losing muscle mass.
 
I would be willing to bet you could cut bf with just walking 30mins 4 times a week.

If you don't have that much time maybe HIIT cardio 45-60sec fast 30-45sec slow for 20mins. Thats how I lost some bf, but I torn the shit out of couple ellipticals at my gym. lol
