Here's a tip from a guy who used to own a supplement shop. Go in and ask if there are any deals on expiring inventory. Most good business owners will be tracking things expiring within the next six months. At 6 months you can often get a discount, at 3 months and under you can probably buy the item for cost or less than cost. Nothing drives a retail owner more nuts than having to throw inventory dollars in the trash can. You are actually doing him a favor. Some owners will even sell expired stuff out of their stockroom. This is illegal so you may have to develope a relationship with the store owner...
Now this on expiation dates. Supps are required to have expiration dates on them by law. These dates often do not correlate when a product goes bad. As long as the product has been stored at room temp, has been kept away from HEAT(that will ruin many), and has had no contact with moisture they are stable for a very long time.
