Supplement for shoulder joint pain

Time off does do wonders, it can be as vital as the time we put into the gym. I like most am stubborn and enjoy the escape from the world while I'm crushing my body into oblivion. Take some laps in the pool, I run a rehabilitation program for my work and it's one of my go to's for injuries.
I would dude but I'm in the middle of a very expensive cycle :(.

So, i was on a cycle and getting really good gains, decided to increase the weight a bit on flat and incline dumbell press. Flat was no problem, i went from 10 reps of 90 lb dumbells to eventually hitting 120 for 10 reps. For my incline press, i went from 70's to 90's pretty quickly and I had the strength but when i put them down, OUCH. My left shoulder has been shit ever since. Went to the sports doc cuz i was SURE it was a rotator cuff but it wasn't. He said i have all my strength but its this little tiny join or tendon in the top/ front of the shoulder. He suggested some anti inflammatory drugs and they kinda sorta help, not so much. I wish i could remember what he called the condition but i know now its just joint pain from a tendon HE SAID i didn't even need. He said my options are injections of cortisol or whatever or removal of the tendon. So, i know its not serious, he told me this. He specializes in shoulder repair surgery. I have read and read on great supplements for join pain that can actually help. I have in my list cissus, orange triad and collagen. Can someone with a similar experience recommend anything that have helped them. good brands, etc... Oh one more thing, my tren cycle seemed to really diminish the pain but as soon as i was done, BAM!!! Cant bench, i have always ONLY used dumbells btw. I cant shoulder press unless super light weight on a machine. And sometimes my last few reps doing preachers, etc upset the shoulder. SO the only way i can work my chest now is with cable and db flies. even pushups sometimes hurt. Any help is appreciated!!!!!

Sure sounds like "Shoulder Impingement Syndrome" to me ------- Google IT

The involved "tendon" is almost always the SUPRASPINATUS which is a part of the rotator cuff!

The other less likely possibility is "Bicipital Tendonitis"

Supplements are an absolute waste on time bc the condition is MECHANICAL, meaning the tendons don't have enough room to move with the result being inflammation and PAIN

Let me first suggest you ask your doc for a referral for "Physical Therapy rehab", and avoiding those exercises that aggravate your symptoms but especially any OVERHEAD PUSHING activity.

Finally do none of the above and chances are you WILL tear that cuff in due course!

Really and what do you think surgical repair of a torn RTC will "cost", bc thats where you are headed placing a "cycle" ahead of your health!

Good luck

Lol well sir. I do avoid exercises that hurt or aggravate my shoulder. I tried some natural remedies and when I thought I felt better, I tried a pressing exercise and immediately stopped after I felt pain. Same thing with the cortisone shot, it started feeling great so I tried dumbbell presses and again stopped after the pain. I also did what a responsible person would do, went to see a shoulder specialist (orthopedic surgeon) sports medicine doc. He told me after the shot I should be able to do my lifts after a couple days. I tried and failed. Now it's time for surgery. I tried resting, tried taking a long break, tried natural remedies, tried physical therapy super low weight external and internal rotation exercises, for months! I tried it all man. And yes i have already looked into impingement, that was the first thing I thought I had. He said it's ac joint arthropothy or arthritis basically. And that if the shot didn't work, it's time for surgery. And he didn't suggest surgery right away either, he tried lots of other shit first. The point of this post is to document what steps I took, etc etc. and the expensive cycle shit was just a joke bruh. But I appreciate all the info from all y'all. Good lookin out boys

IF the inflammation is limited to the AC joint then a centimeter or so resection of the distal clavicle is curative for many folk IME.

What is resection doc? And trust me, I was almost positive based on the symptoms I had, I thought for sure it was shoulder impingement. I didn't suggest that to him cuz he went to school for a long time and I didn't wanna come off as a douche thinking i know my shit but he's positive that it's the ac joint. He still wants to look at an MRI before the surgery of course but anyway...

"Resection" in this case typically involves REMOVAL of a small portion of the clavicle (AKA Mumford procedure) as shown in the top Xray. Many SM docs will also "shave" the undersurface of the acromium if doubt exists.

Both procedures are done arthroscopically and have a short, several week,, recovery period.

Nonetheless an MRI might be helpful to establish the problem is localized to the
A-C joint

For any shoulder or joint pain i personally would supplement with a peptide like
TB-500, or BPC157.
Also a low dose of deca... 300MG
Nope, from what I gathered from doc Jim and my sports doc, the pain may temporarily go away but the problem is still there.i believe I was getting or experiencing shoulder impingement which then caused my "ac joint arthropathy". I'm done covering up the pain and want it fixed. But thanks all for your input. I would mark this one as resolved. If y'all want, I can update this after the surgery which will be sooner than I planned.

Arthropaty of all kinds is MUCH more common in those who lift HEAVY but those of a small to medium build are particularly predisposed IME.

The cause is before you address it or you are more likely to have
"joint problems" IMO

Oh I've read many of the studies that suggest impingement syndrome is a result of a different; the AC angle, configuration, slope or humerus issues.

Well perhaps such a relationship does exist, but whatever the "cause" shoulder arthropathy in particular is MUCH more common in small to medium build folk IME.

Tbh I would just cut out benchpress and shoulder press all together and use alternatives... some people just do not have the right frame structurally to do these movements without causing damage.

Ive made more gains on my chest this year than inthe last 4 years switching from bench press/dumbells to strictly machine flys and dips. I also have tested my body many times with shoulder press to see if it would cause shoulder pain, and everysingle time it did...

Absolutely no supplements will help, maybe deca would a bit, but you would still be causing damage!

Good luck!
