Supplements and Steroids

When I first got serious about lifting at 19 I wanted to look like Ronnie Coleman. I bought into all the "stack" supplements spending $250 a month at gnc on them. In two years I gained 30 lbs.

Then At 21, I found gear, spent $210 and gained 22 lbs in 3 months. Saved myself over $500 and even looked better lol. It's a shame what those companies do with those body builders on the bottle convincing people that's possible..

No supplements are worth he money imo. I would like to say that I may have benefited a little strength gains from creating but not enough to be sure. I now can get that same gain from eating right and have a few carbs before workouts.
Today I only buy protein powders. I mix this with egg whites and oats for flavor and a bit of extra protein.

There used to be some effective supplements otc back in 2005-2008 but they turned out to be AAS or pro-hormones and were later taken off shelves.

Today I dropped my preworkout from my workout and went for an apple instead, Had a great work out. The preworkout was shit had me throwing up in my mouth during my workouts, imagine preworkout coming out your nose while on the decline press.

I did the same went on bodybuilding.com and read up on all these supps and then walked out of gnc with a basket full of shit thinking I had PED

Not all supplements are shit, here is an example,

When you eat your pre work out meal. Let's say 45 minutes prior-

You can take carb supplements such as karbolyn or carbion right before workout, during workout or even post workout, this will spike your insulin to help shuttle the nutrients to your muscles during workout...

Add in some l-arginine 10-15g to your carb supp.. now we have a mixture to dialate our vessels and help get the nutrients to where they are needed faster.

If we are talking pre workouts, this is my go to, the carbs really give you massive energy etc, but I don't do those pre-made full of caffeine bullshit pre workouts, total junk.. IMO if I want caffeine, I'll take some damn caffeine by itself.

Hydroxycut with ephedrine was the one and only supplement I used with results...that was 2002 tho...it basically turned me into a meth addict making me force feed once or twice a day with jittery energy all day.....I have no clue what todays supplements are about, nor do I care. Maybe some shit works for natty's but from what ive seen in ads etc its just all bullshit

Beta alanine has studies showing its effectiveness. BCAAs...eh. Creatine makes me bloat worse than a gram of test, but it's useful. As @Roger rabbit stated above, there are some carb supplements that are extremely useful. I added Vitargo S2 to the end of my last blast and had NOTICEABLE increases in strength and size. Plus, I train at 5am, or 9pm (after a 12 hour day), so a PWO is necessary staple in my regimen. I've tried training without, and definitely did not have the same amount of energy, with or without gear.

A good multi vitamin, d3, and good omega 3. Maybe a good isolate protein and creatine is the only proven supplement that works.

TRT doctor recommends zinc and B complex ?? I do take them but I honestly dont know if it does any good. They are cheap so what the hell? The B complex makes my piss yellow as fuck. lol.

Im pretty sure you can still get it otc, buddy of mine is taking it and I've been
calling him a crackhead for it. Told
him there is no magic weight loss pill.
Then told him to do cardio and diet. Then when the fat is shed, Anavar.

from what I understand Zinc and Magnesium are both needed to regulate test in your body, so being deficient can cause lower test. but if you're taking test and have a good diet I dont think they're needed.

What benefits do you get from taking supps like BCAAs, Creatine, Beta-alanine, etc. on cycle? I believe protein is necessary, but is all the other stuff really worth it to take on cycle? Do certain steroids coincide/ with supplements possibly enhancing effectiveness? say maybe Dbol and Creatine, Nitrogen retention.
I like creatine for pct.i believe it helps me power through.
Look into r ala it helps with nutrients absorption

I am a believer in antioxidants and nootropics for general health and mental performance. Physique wise, the only thing that actually works is protein powder but that's only because it's food. Is creatine anabolic? Who knows. If I wanted moon face I would just run test with no AI

I think protein powders are a scam. In so much as a proper diet won't need them. Your far better off eating correctly than worrying about protein powders. They ALL end up giving me the shits. Real food doesn't. Gear+food+work ethic=gains. Period!

What I like about Whey is I can down it
as soon as Im finished with my work out. which IMO is easier then racing home and throwing 4 eggs in the microwave and shoveling them down. Protein powder is more of a convenience, I agree that one should not use it to supplement the daily protein they should be getting out of a natural diet. It should be taken for extra protein, the convenience of immediate post workout nutrition while in an anabolic state, and as a means to drink more water.
