First surgery I didn’t because I half assed the therapy and don’t go but the second one I’m back to normal I went hard with the therapy for months

Hey Buddy, sorry to hear about all this. I have a feeling you'll be better in no time. You're a smart guy, I know you'll rehab the way you should.
Go get 'em and move forward!

Good luck with the surgery and recovery my friend. Lifting heavy as we age takes a toll.

My count is the past five years has been a left bicep tendon tear first as the elbow and then at the shoulder, both surgically repaired. Chips removed from left shoulder.

Two high hearnias both surgically repaired and bone on bone in the right knee in need of a full replacement.

On the plus side we look better than most guys half our age!

Be interested in following a recovery log if you do one.

Good luck big guy. I know my left shoulder will need surgery in the near future. I’m too hard headed to get a MRI or maybe I’m just scared to get surgery lol.

Look forward to following your rehab.

Shoulder injuries are probably the worst! Keeps you from doing almost everything upper body wise.
My chiropractor told me he gets stem cell injections himself (from another Dr of course) and says they are great! Also says there expensive as hell, $2000 a shot I think is what he said (not real sure though lol).
Interested to see how the stem cell treatment helps in your recovery!

Best wishes on the comeback @mands !!

Wishing you a smooth recovery man!
Thank you very much man.

Hope nothing but a fast and complete recovery my man!
Thanks dude.

Sorry to hear this, sounds like you have a good team on your side. Will keep you in my thoughts here is to a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
I appreciate it thank you.

I can’t believe you have a Dr that is going along with all of this. How incredibly lucky Mands is

You know all to well about that man. I have realized I don't have to toss big weight around anymore to look impressive. Just gotta be smart these days.

They are expensive. They run about $1000 a shot. Doctor is giving me a discount at $550 so it's a no-brainer.

Just a small update. All went well with surgery and no issues. Feeling sore but a lot better than day 2-3. I probably tried to do a little much the first day and over did it some.

Doc did a little more than expected and cleaned up some tissue.

Will update soon. I will be back in the doctors office on the 13th.

That’s a good sign and you should make a great recovery. Bet you can’t wait to get lifting again.

What do you mean cleaned up some tissue?

Thank you!

I would have to look at the paperwork. But, Doctor told the wifey that I had some frayed tissue he cleaned up. I assumed scar, labrum and tendon. I will find out.

Just a look at 5 days post surgery. Took my bandages off and swelling is there a little and some bruising under my right arm. He did a good job it seems.
