Hey guys this might be a pretty different “homebrew” thread and I realize there probably won’t be many if any people who so happen to have the experience of pressing tablets that would want to share recipes etc But here it goes
Want to keep this relatively short, basically I’m pressing most oral compounds extremely easily using Firmapress powder by LFA as the excipient mix which has microcrystalline cellulose, dicalcium phosphate, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, and a food grade coloring.
Most of the tablets I press are perfect, smooth compressed, and consistent tablet weight
I am however having trouble pressing Clomid and Viagra, as both are very light and “fluffy” powders, they don’t flow very well, and they will start to stick to the upper and/or lower punches
even with almost 4X the amount of firmapress to active ratio.
I understand at this point I’m gonna have to whip up a batch of my own customized excipient ingredients, as I’ve seen online by certain pharmaceutical companies Clomid is pressed with cornstarch, sucrose, lactose, magnesium stearate, and pregelatinized cornstarch, most of which are not found in the firmapress mix.
Just looking to see if anyone is willing to share ingredients for an excipient mix for 50mg Clomid tablets, with the total tablet weight anywhere from 200mgs-250mgs
And also 100mg viagra tablets, with the total tablet weight anywhere from 200-250mgs
I’m using an 8mm die, which I’m worried may not be big enough for the viagra tablets
