Taking cash in the mail=trouble?
misspelling as a result of alcohol overdose. LOL!

lets say you take cash in the mail?
if you send gear out with a fake address(not your real one), can they still nabb you??
seems like the only thing that can link you to the shipment in exchange for the cash would be an email. but what if your email was with an offshore provider like hushmail? are you protected then??
they would need the emails as evidence and it seems like the content of the emails would belong to the provider..
any input bro's???

My thoughts on the matter are that they will get you if they want you. However, the amount of money/man hours that it would take to nab a small time "crook" would not be worth it to the "man". JMO

customers like cash in the mail- no extra charges and no paper trail-have them send it express mail, tracking numbers are verifiable

cash?

it just feels like we'd be making it a llittle too easy for the feds by giving them a mailing address.
even if we use a fake name or fake company name, im sure they can supoena post office records and dig up info on the mailbox leding back to the source...what do you all think?

i too hate having people pay the extra WU fees, but it just makes me feel safer than using cash in the mail---unless someone convinces me otherwise???

Encrypted email and offshore email gives people a false sense of security anyway. Like Gizz said if they want you bad enough they will get to you. The problem with using mail is if you use a receiving address/ box too long.

Why don't one of you open up a secure email site and charge accordingly, this way we know it's one of us who owns it and safe. I don't have the time :)

emails

can that be done? would you have to be outside the USA?

my other question was, lets say they are planning something against you.
all they got as evidence is emails from you from (lets say) hushmail-an offshore company. in the emails you pretty much tell the buyer to mail you "cash" and give away your plan of using a fake name---can the feds use that plan against you??

to be able to use the emails as evidence against you, wouldnt they have to ask husmail or the owner of the email service for persmission?? it is invasion of privacy to read other' emails is it not?
or can they just print out the correspindence? seems like a good question...

Wu

WU is not safe at all. their are cameras all over the store. then they got you making an exchange.

I agree, there is cameras at some but not at all wu locations. I go to a local meat market and there is no cameras and I know the clerk....

And the clerk knows you....

W/U is safe I think, but I know their agents do not like the test question if used...they give you that look.

Big Brother can break thru secure mail easily, they got technology that has not been released to the public yet, but they will get only big fishes they don't bother much with 'small time' bros. Remenber some Law enforcement people love the juice too.

It's still scary, though.

I agree that it would be a waste of time for any agency to go after as small timers. Logically, it doesn't make any sense. Nevertheless, it's still a little nerve racking.
