I'm posting this pic of my CT scan today. For those of you with knowledge of spinal injuries, you'll see how bad my spinal chord and vertebrae are fuckd for life. Currently I'm on 3mg Dilaudid every 2 hours and 1 Norco 6 times a day. I can't breathe. I cant walk. I can't laugh. I can't turn my head. I'm wearing a neck apparatus for the next 90-180 days. Maybe even a halo. Surgery is Monday. My first option is the Anterior Cervical Disclectomy & Fusion. It will clean up the mess and use screws, bolts and mesh to rebuild the spinal chord. I'm hoping one of the docs will chime in to elaborate the disc that is lodged into my spine witch is the serious threat. If not dealt with in a timely manner will lead to paralysis.

This happened cuz I continued to train thru injuries. I ignored my bodies cry for rest and medical attn. I'm just trying to offer a lil of my experience in this lifestyle to some of the youngsters who go HAM like I used too. Think twice about training thru injuries. Cuz I thought I was unstoppable. I mite never train again... That's something I have to live with.

The other surgery option the surgeon referred to as very "morbid"

I'll go into that later. I'm tired from meds and kinda bummed out bros. Thanks for listening

Hang in there buddy. Take it easy and get well. One day at a time.

I respect you for the message you're trying to put out, thank you.
Thanks bro. I'm fortunate I can fall back on wrenching on Harley's while not training. Keep kicking ass brother!

Damn man im sorry to hear that. Definitely good for people to see though, even if it keeps one person from making a poor choices in training it wont be for nothing.

Hopefully you will be able to push through this and make it back to to the gym, even if it takes along time, will be sendin good vibes your way man!

Damn Tank.... I know that we all take out health for granted, and we shouldn't. This should be a wake up call for everyone on here. I know that I need to listen to my body more and back off when I know things aren't quiet right.

Know that people have came back from injuries similar to yours. A good friend of mine had a broken spine, somewhere in his lower back. It was caused from years of heavy lifting and squatting. Finally his back couldn't take anymore. This happened last year.... He was actually back in the gym this week squatting 135!

I wish you a speedy and miraculous recovery Tank!!! [emoji123]

Damn brother hate to hear that! Get well man!

What was the root cause?
Deadlifts? Power Cleans?
What's up truck. For 13 years I been training with intensity. 2 years "Enhanced"
The whole time my staples were
Power Cleans
Deads
Squats
Bench
Overhead press

I do accessorie work too. Gotta look good for the ladies. The exact lift that took me out was overhead presses with 80lb dumbbells. Not really that heavy. Deads have only strengthened this area. I knew I had this injury. I was chasing that pump. Same way I chase the dope sack way back when. My body was telling me day after day to rest. To take a week off. See a doctor. I played myself. Ignored all warnings.
Now my life as an athlete has been compromised and potentially done for good. Shits sucks bro. I'm hella disappointed in myself. My lack of self discipline. Running on my own free will, instead of something bigger then myself. I look up to you Truck. If I could offer you a nugget of truth it would be this.
If your neck hurts. Don't do overhead presses that day.
