Teen, low testosterone [bloodwork pics]

Anything to add? Please note that I'm trying to cover everything possible so please let me know if I missed anything crucial.

Recommended lab work:
* Chemistry Panel (Metabolic panel with lipids)
* Complete Blood Count (CBC)
* Free Testosterone
* Total Testosterone
* DHEA-S - Sulfate (low DHEA = increased risk of cardio complications + DHEA converts to T)
* Estradiol
* Estrone, Serum
* Homocysteine
* C-reactive protein (High sensitivity) - (high = cardio risk)
*Aldosterone
*DHT (Dihydrotestosterone)
+ SHBG
+ Progesterone
+ Prolactin

Thyroid Labs:
* TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone)
+ Total T4
+ Free T4
+ Total T3
+ Free T3
+ Reverse T3 (excess T4 converts to RT3. High RT3 blocks free T3 - so your TSH and T3 numbers could look great, but are blocked by RT3).
+ T3 Uptake
+ Thyroglobulin Antibodies
+ Thyroid Peroxidase

Continued:
+ Cortisol
+ LH
+ FSH
+ IGF-1 (Insulin-Like Growth Factor)
+ Pregnenolone (precursor of Cortisol, DHEA, and Progesterone + Preg resolves brain fog and improved memory)
+ VITAMIN A, E, B3, B12
+ Vitamin D, 25-OH Total
+ Vitamin D, 25-OH D3
+ Cholesterol, Total

+ Ferritin
+ Iron, Total Binding Capacity
+ Iron, Binding Capacity
+ Iron, % Saturation
+ Magnesium
+ Copper, serum
+ Zinc

So my endo decided to put me on 25mcg levothyroxine daily for hypothyroid.

-Is this too low of a dose to rid me of my symptoms?

-How long before I notice anything?

-Could this bring up my testosterone levels?

I don't know where else to ask, so any responses are appreciated!

No idea on when you will feel better. Whether or not it raises your test is up to whether or not the test was low because of the thyroid or it is just that low naturally

Had a fking break through a few days ago. Literally could not believe how much my NEW MALE endocrinologist knew about TRT, and the endocrine system in general.

Long story short, he diagnosed me as secondary hypogonadism and slightly hypothyroid as two issues SEPARATELY and not related. Thus, he gave me a prescription for 100mg testosterone cypionate per week.

He originally wanted to do androgel, but I insisted on injections as I heard they were better.

He opted for 200mg every TWO weeks but I asked for 100 every week and he agreed.

It's literally blowing my mind still, he ACTUALLY listened to what I had to say which I've never had a doctor do that to me before.

Also just did my first ever injection this Tuesday- heart was beating through chest.

Did it solo into glutes, pretty sure I did it properly (no bleeding, it stayed in etc). Is it possible to fuck up a test shot if it stays in? Like what if I didn't make it to the muscle (I'm pretty sure I did).

Congrats! Now, keep us updated.

That's terrific. If you inject into adipose tissue you have improper absorption and possible abscess. You should really have the doc or a nurse show you each injection location and give you a how to. It's really worth your time and effort for that knowledge.

Keep us updated!

Definitely will! It's been 40 hours since my 100mg cypionate injection thus far and I don't know if it was placebo (probably was), but when I woke up for class this morning at 6 am, I literally was full of energy and jumped out of bed to shower. Felt a lot more sociable and my mind seems sharper. It could definitely be a combination of the 25mcg of levothyroxine I've been taken for my thyroid, as today marks 9 days on so it should've build up nicely by now due to a 7 day half life.

I hope I didn't inject into the adipose tissue, I got the needle in pretty damn far imo.

The doctor was originally going to have me come in this upcoming Monday to show me how and start my first injection. I asked if he could give me a rundown of how to do it myself, and he did. He also advised me to look on YouTube for instructional videos which I did.

When I injected it, I pulled back on the needle to see if I hit a vessel - I didn't so I slowly injected it and felt an oily chill as it went all the way in. I pulled out, no blood came out and it healed up very nicely (cannot even see the mark at all).

Felt like attaching a pic, don't mind the black spot as it's in my garage on a desk.

Needle is 1.5 inches I believe, just trying to give an idea of how far I got it in.

Also, the blue cap doesn't stay on. Does the vial need to be 100% sealed? There is two needle pokes in the top.

Endo is testing me for PSA, TSH, bio-available testosterone, FT4. Perhaps FSH or LH (blood work paper is in my car and it's negative degrees outside atm) but not estradiol in 2 months from now. The reason being as these were my estrogen results before I started TRT

On the low end of normal; can look at the reference ranges on (these are not correct, as I have completed puberty and use the 18+ years old range)

I brought up testing for estradiol and he said not to worry, as it will only convert to high numbers if you're taking excess amounts as a steroid and what not.

Should I push to test for E2?

He said "We will do a trial TRT for 2 months, you will come and get blood work the DAY BEFORE you will get your shot to see how you are doing.

Also, should I worry about testicular atrophy and take hCG? I forgot to ask him; and am wondering if people take hCG constantly while on TRT, or only when trying to conceive a child?

Sorry for all the text though, just a lot of questions.

I have accidentally injected into the subcutaneous layer several times pinning glutes. I know I don't hit the muscle when I get a knot in my ass cheek for a couple days. Never got an infection though. It is hard for me to pin glutes and the needle goes in at angle so I miss the muscle. It still absorbs, but it is slower absorbing, not as effective, and not the intended way to inject it. I would pin in the quad once a week (just alternate both quads), as it is much more convenient and you are using pharma grade test. Oddly enough I do have a boil now :(, but no where near an injection site. I am kind of pissed because I had to go on antibiotics (haven't used antibiotics in around 8 years :().

A nurse or someone should teach you how to pin like other people said. I am surprised the doctor didn't recommend someone demonstrate to you proper Intramuscular injection technique. Most of us on here probably learned on the internet or a friend and just jabbed away and learned through trial and error. But you are legally using Test for a medical problem and your young, so I think you would better suited learning how to inject by an experienced person.

My doctor wanted me to come in the FOLLOWING Monday to show me how to do the injections, but there was NO WAY in hell I was going to sit there with two prescriptions for syringes and cypionate and not pin myself - so he kind of gave me a run down.

He strongly suggested he show me, I cannot discredit him as it was my decision. He's really a great doctor.

Best part was that it was like $105.00 and my insurance covered all of it.

But when I injected, my ass was not sore at all. Was a clean injection. I'm just nervous about doing quads are smallish and I've heard stories of people losing sensation in feet and what not

I'm sure I get into the muscle as my body fat is quite low and I still get a knot in my glute every time. And I got good flexibility so I go in at 90°. I do inject it fast though to avoid moving the needle around so that could be the reason.
