Test-C and HGH for TRT+ cruise

Get some blood work too.

And pinning more than 2x per week can help as well.
Since I've got your attention, I like the approach you take to research.
I'm trying to learn more and be more proactive than my cheap doctor.

What labs do you think are useful monthly for a conservative trt?
TT, FT, e2, SHBG?, DHT?, anything else?

and anything you'd add in less frequently?

I’m planning to take things into my own hands - somewhat mirroring what my TRT provider has me doing, but with adding HGH. My plan is to do 100mg Test-C twice a week along with 3iu HGH M-F, 1000 mg Metformin daily, and 0.5 mg Anastrozole twice a week, along with labs every 3 months.

My current labs for my TRT provider look good - testosterone 996 ng/dL, Estradiol 5.0 pg/mL, prostate-specific Ag 1.8 ng/mL, Albumin 4.7 g/dL, AST (SGPT) 31 IU/L, Hematocrit 50.3%, Sex Hormone Binding Glob, Serum 43.2 nmol/L, HBA1C 5.2% and glucose 87 mg/dL.

Does my proposed protocol look good for a TRT+ cruising dose or should I be considering something else for my age and goals?

Having a 996 would feel great without an AI. Adding another 40mg/wk, still without AI, might be ideal.
I personally think the rest of the stack is a solid plan to start with. Your A1C and FG both look good, and I would suggest picking up a cheap glucose monitor to determine what the GH does to your blood sugar levels.

Honestly, this is very sensible.

I’m 56 years old and have been on TRT through an online provider for over two years. They’ve got me at 80mg Test-C twice a week, and every few months or so they add on 0.5mg Anastrozole twice a week. I don’t feel like I’m getting anything out of this dose, except spending money to chase my tail. Unfortunately this provider can’t/won’t go any higher than this.

Im not trying to get big; I’m just trying to stay toned and keep whatever muscle mass I have without spending the money on a provider only to feel like I’m getting nowhere.

You say, "I don't feel like I am getting anything out of this dose," but your testosterone level is 996, for all intents and purposes 1000, which is higher than most teenage boys.

What was your natural testosterone level when you went on TRT?

What was life like then?

What is it like now?

Are you truly getting nothing out of it?

I guess I shouldn’t have said that I feel like I’m “getting nothing out of it”, because I have noticed changes.

When I started TRT, my testosterone levels were in the 300s. I had little to no motivation; sex drive was almost non-existent; my body composition was not what I wanted; and it was hard to keep the weight off, even with routine exercise (when I had the energy to exercise). Those things have definitely changed, but I had been on that dose for so long that it felt like I had plateaued and was no longer getting my money’s worth out of the treatment they were capable of providing versus what I could get using tested UGL oils, adding HGH (which they couldn’t do), and paying for catered lab work.

If your provider is putting you on and taking you off anastrazole they are putting you on a roller coaster for your E2. They sound like they don't know what they're doing. That is stupid. E2 of 5 is not healthy, that is way too low. Anastrozole is a very old and not a very good AI. If I was you I would just get some Exemastane and handle it myself. You can get an E2 draw for relatively cheap. There are many UGL sources for Exemastane and it is not very hard to get pharma quality if you desire.

I'm a little bit younger than you, but I find a nice window for health risk versus getting what I want out of my protocol is to have free test at the tip top of range if not slightly over, E2 in the mid 20's roughly, and about 3iu GH daily, about 1250 HCG weekly. For me that means 105mg test C or about 120mg test U a week and about 10mg Exemastane a week. The dosing is obviously going to be different for everybody but that puts my total test at 1600ish and my SHBG my at the top of the range meaning my free test sits at or slightly over top of range. My SHBG has always set in the high end and I feel good when it's high. For trt/cruise I pay more attention to the free test as my total test is obviously well above range but with the high SHBG I like those numbers. Most guys do not have as high SHBG so they can hit high level free test with significantly lower total test.

Unless funds are an issue I don't see the point in staggering GH use. Just pick a dose and do it daily.

My health markers are as good as they have ever been doing this.

If you are not getting what you want out of your current dosage, I would focus less on the drugs and more on your training/ physical activity, your sleep quality and quantity, and your nutrition. Likely those are the source of you not getting the results you want. Those things are King and the drugs are secondary.

Yeah, the Anastrozole roller coaster ride was definitely not fun. Part of the problem with my TRT provider is also the fact that I haven’t had the same doctor more that two or three times; it’s always someone new, which has led to different theories on MY medical care. I eliminate that component by taking things into my own hands.

Messing with ai's sucks. For me having E2 in The Sweet spot is a real make or break for quality of life and mental state. I notice changes in my E2 much more than a 500 point change in test.

I would prioritize dialing in a trt protocol that you can reliably go back to at any point to reset and feel good. I would source some quality Exemastane, decide roughly what numbers I'm looking to hit, and then sort out a protocol and do my own Labs to get dialed. Get the testosterone from the doctor and just tell them that you want to try not taking an AI. Take the ai and get dialed in via your own labs and then when everything is sitting pretty do the labs with the doc and just carry on. I would just not tell him about the Exemastane, but that's me. Sometimes giving info on a need to know basis works out a lot better. I'm not someone who tells doctors everything, I just tell them what they need to know.

I know a number of guys use anastrazole and it is cheap but it is not a very good ai. IMO ditch it.

Had a consult with TRTNation yesterday and their starting dose is 100mg twice a week and only take Anastrozole while having high e2 symptoms. Your clinic seems bad.
TRT Nation is no better bro. I was with them. Waste of time IMO. They're not going to "guide" you through AAS, and you end up over-paying for gear and services.

For example, they only test:
1. Testosterone up to 1500 ng/dl;
2. Estradiol (not the sensitive test);
3. PSA (prostate);
4. CBC (blood);
5. Metabolic Panel (liver, kidneys, etc).
This set of testing is at EVERY stage, and they charge, if I remember, $160 for them. In actuality, its about $40 in tests through other 3rd party providers. But more importantly, these are very limited to the scope and range of testing needed, especially if you're older in age. In addition, they're not going to explain what's going on when "flags" pop up on your tests, other than, "were you dehydrated?"

Comparatively, they are one of the better and less expensive clinics in an otherwise poorly operated sphere.

If I had known what I know about clinics, and already discovered Meso, I never would have taken that route.

If you just need a script for some reason they are good . Very easy to get your prescription by just submitting some labs and talking on the phone for 5 or 10 minutes so that is nice. I agree with you though, that if you want guidance and help to figure things out, trt Nation is terrible. Also, you do not have to buy labs through them. You can do your own Labs through any place you want and you can submit the labs to them.

For travel, I like to have a prescription vial with my name on it and they are perfect for this purpose.

Uncle,
I have both Exemestane and Anastrozole, currently using the latter .25mg every 4 days, with 375mg test/wk = 1900 TT, 32e2. I have that dialed in from previous experience. Never used Exem, but ordered it to possibly make a switch.

I've read, anectodally, Anastrozole may be better for Test run above 250mg/wk. Any thoughts on that?

IMO Exemastane is a better AI across the board for every situation. More forgiving, less sides, less negative health consequences, no possibility for rebound E2 spike. I never use anastrazole.

Absolutely zero guidance for sure. I only take half the amount they prescribed. Also don't buy tests from them, they take any you send. But need to have the script anyways.
