I'll chime in here as the outlier.
Post menopausal, and I do 80 mg TestC/week for the last 3 years. TestC is what we had in the house when I started the experiment, as my SO is on it due to congenital hypogonadism.
At first it was kind of a "let's see what happens if I take a small amount of this" and started at 10 mg every 2 weeks. I loved the increased confidence it gave me plus the drastically increased strength and improved recovery time from workouts. Over time I bumped it up gradually to see what I could tolerate without unwanted side effects and settled at the current dose.
As far as sides, the main one is that my forearms have gotten rather hairier, but this isn't anything unmanageable. Slight clit growth but nothing outside the "norm"; it doesn't look anything like a dick. I got a scant few whiskers on my chin but home-lasered those off pretty easily. Now, I did have a voice change initially, enough for people to remark on it, but it's subsided and now I sound pretty much like I did pre-test.
One of the biggest positives? I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2012 and went on Humira in 2017. That worked for two years but in 2019 I started having flares again. About 2 months after starting the test the colitis went into remission and I've stayed in remission since. Apparently there are studies supporting TRT for colitis, so it's not coincidental.
Yes, I've made significant muscle gain. However - I've been lifting pretty intensely for 20+ years. I had probably gotten as far as my genetics would take me before I tried the testC. I tried it mostly out of curiosity but also out of frustration at the inability to progress thanks to menopause. I've no interest in competing, but I do want to see the considerable effort I expend at the gym translate into visible results.
I won't lie - I do hold my breath a little every time I have to have a blood test ordered by my PCP! So far everything is showing up well within normal ranges; BP edged up a little higher than I wanted to see at one point - I'm normally way low - but settled back down after I dropped some superfluous pudge.
