Testosterone for Women

I know it was several years ago, but great write ups of great write ups of articles,Doc Scally.

In the 5 years since 2019 it has become more common for women to be treated with testosterone, especially for vaginal dryness and sex related pain from intercours.

My friend is a Dermatologist, and while only anecdotal, clams to have tremendous success treating women w/ bio identical hormone replacement which is a fancy way of saying he implants a testosterone pellet. He claims it has turned around his sex life w/ his wife.

The training for certification is a 2 day seminar. Unfortunately, my wife (going through menopause) is unwilling to have the implant, or doing any type of injection (she is needle phobic). However I have convinced her to try oral testosterone undecanoate.

Unfortunately I can only find one study of test U in women. It does claim to have significant success dosing women at 20, 40, and 80 mgs of test U Bid (twice a day).

Here is a link to the study: Pharmacokinetic study in women of three different doses of a new formulation of oral testosterone undecanoate, Andriol Testocaps - PubMed
I would do test prop low amounts. You have to pin every 3 days but it’s not a long acting so if she doesn’t like the sides it’s in and out of her system pretty fast

I wanted to post this in here for posterity sake in case another woman has similar issues.

Preface: My wife is in her early 30s and has E and T in the low range of normal. Sorry dont have her labs in front of me right now but I can find them if anyone wants details.

History: About 6 years ago she developed issues with her digestive and reproductive systems due to difficult pregnancy. Long story short, she saw doctors a few times every months for years. Said doctors experimented on her with all sorts of drugs, including botox treatment, making things much worse and doing damage to her liver with all the shit they prescribed (as well as related pain killers).

Nothing worked and she ended up with a bad bladder prolapse and urination accidents during running. Basically they fucked up her internal muscles and she has been trying to deal with it for 2 years on top of the other issues...

We got tired of the doctors and decided to try Test-C given her lowish T levels and to see if it had any impact on the bladder and prolapse given its a muscle issue. Approximately 6 weeks into injections, the prolapse, which has been ongoing for 2 years, has completely stopped and no more running accidents. Its been about 3 months now.

Dosage: I took Test-C 250mg/mL and put some in an insulin pen. She uses 27g needles and does subq injections around belly. We did 4 clicks (4/100 mL) or about 10mg a week. This shot her T level well above normal range by about 20 points so we recently reduced it to 3 clicks (7.5mg /wk) to bring that down to normal.

Summary: We do believe the T injections helped her. Obviously we arent 100% certain. It could have been total coincidence that her problems stopped around the same time we started injecting but that seems unlikely.

As for other effects... yea she has been horny as hell. Is it because of the T or just because she is in less pain and healthier? Who knows?

fun fact, DHEA is also a really nice way to increase T levels by a few points in women, it was used to help with pregnancies in the early 2000s, with pretty good success

Hi all! New member, see my intro for stats. I'm considering adding low dose Test C (have available in 20mg/mL formula). TT has ranged from 12-14ng/dL and FT 1.0-1.5pg/mL over my 30's, during which time I've also maintained a very lean BF%. So, it's been at the very low end of range for several years. I'm still a few years-ish out to peri but hoping that supplemental T can improve my overall energy, mood, and libido. I'm a bit hesitant that it can shut down natural production indefinitely. Open to any words of advice or similar experiences.

Also for context I've been on GHRH/P for about 6 months and am considering moving over to 2iu HGH after a few weeks of T.
