The cheapest weightlifting shoes around.

Post was removed before I got there. I bought a pair of the shoes on sale at another store and they seem to be solid. I deadlift tomorrow night so then I will know for sure. I could care less what is written on them because I have difficult feet to fit and these seem to do the trick.

Are those reebok crossfit? Not a good idea to deadlift in oly lifting shoes but otherwise I think they are not bad as a beginner shoe, not on the level of the expensive Nike or Adidas ones but can do.

It is the reebok crossfit lite tr, which is built a little like a beefed up converse allstar.
Lite TR
I doesn't seem to have as much eva in the midsoles as the reebok crossfits. I usually lift in vibram 5 fingers but will give these a shot.

Read an article where the author said he uses them to squat, wide stance.

What shou do you use to squat?

If you squat low bar with wide stance you'll likely prefer a flat soled shoe such as that one. I squat almost a hybrid, in between high bar and low bar and prefer shoes with a heel for how I squat and for high bar squats.

Edit* currently using the Adidas powerlift 2.0 shoes but will be upgrading to Adidas Adipowers or Ristos sometime soon

Currently high bar squat, but moving to low bar. I'm looking at the Nike ramaleos 2. Lately when I squat, I've been getting a cramp in my left foot, like swimmers toe, the 3rd and 4th toes. Have you heard of that before?

No never heard of that. When does it happen during the squat?

If you're moving to low bar you may end up liking a flat shoe better than the Romaleos.

Think it's just tight calves, used to happen when I would grapple, old man cramps I guess.

The ramaleos caught my eye because of my high bar squat, was reading starting strength and that's what got me thinking more about low bar.

I use a new balance shoe with the minimus sole for squats and deads. They're a thin flat sole and super light. They're getting kinda beat up now but I've had them for a few years of great service and only $60 at the time I bought them.
Interesting, I've been using a Nike free, I like it BUT it is a little squishy in the sole when I squat, does the new balance have that feel? It looks like they make it with the Vibram sole, that looks pretty flat

I've been thinking about getting a pair of nike frees. A friend of mine has a pair and seems to like them but now that you say the sole has a squishy feeling, I should investigate it more.

The new balance I have do not feel squishy at all. Wearing them is like walking barefoot. Now that you say Vibram, I believe that's the sole on my new balance too but everything is long wore off the shoes. I think the line was called minimus and then a model number but I don't remember the number. I know that they don't make the exact model I have anymore and that the ones I have are the thinnest they made but that was a year ago when I checked into it.

I bought these ones and wore them for a week until they made me feel like every bone in my foot was about to break. Zero support in those things.
Really? I like them because of the totally flat, solid bottom that had zero give when doing squats, leg presses, and dead lifts. I'd go barefooted if it weren't for the likelihood of getting staph...

I do my pulling in socks but squat in shoes. Being slightly high bar squatter I like the heel.
