The cheapest weightlifting shoes around.

My whole point of this thread was $15 shoes. Never seen chucks less then 30.

And chucks fuck up my deadlift pulls idk what it is but it feels odd unless I'm barefoot.

Wrestling shoes without split soles. Usually you can find the cheaper pairs with a single sole. The sole is thin as shit and works well for squatting and deadlifting. Huge ankle support without any platform sole. I can't think of any other shoe that will get your nearer to being shoeless while adding ankle support. Luckily i stocked up on 4 pairs before they got crazy with the split soles. If you buy them after collegiate wrestling season they have closeouts here and there in wrestling states. Around Oklahoma that is just about anywhere, so your mileage may vary(especially in Arkansas where wrestling isn't so much a sport as something they do with their sister/mother/various farm animals).

Maybe something like this:http://www.scoreboardwrestling.net/...campaign=ppc&gclid=CIjl2O6dkMkCFUmUfgodJn8BBA

What exactly are split soles so I know what to avoid?

I've been using chucks for years but those look pretty damn good.

Split soles are not one full sole. They are a heel section and a forward section with a split inbetween. Great for foot mobility and guys who love to shoot, but not so good for deadlifting and squatting. Maybe it is just me, but it bugs the piss out of me to have a hollow feeling section in the middle. Here is an example of the fancy ones with split soles:http://www.eastbay.com/product/mode...asics-dan-gable-ultimate-4-mens/grey/red/?cm=

This is what i grew up in and used almost exclusively. At the time they were the Dan Gable model, but the sole is nice and simple, just flat. Something like this without The Dave Schultz bling is what i always try to get.http://www.eastbay.com/product/mode...sics-dave-schultz-classic-mens/blue/gold/?cm=

I've done a lot of Oly/Power lifting lately and the Nike Romaleos are probably the best but they seem more geared for Oly Lifting. Now all I wear are Metcons. They are comfortable and work well in just about any lifting situation, IMO.

Tried both addi power and romaleos ( i own the romaleos 2 ) but ive got to say the addi powers made me feel more glued to the ground and i prefer the one meditarsol strap as opposed to the 2 on the romaleos.

On a side note my lifting shoe collection is getting ridiculous: Nike romaleos 2, Sabo deadlift shoes, Chuck taylor high tops, Reebok nano 4.0, nike free 5.0 lol

Thats a nice collection. I do hate that double strap of the Roms too but love the support and the height of the heel. I got the Nano 5's and honestly, I'm not too impressed. Still prefer the Metcons. But I am kind of lazy when it comes to changing shoes. I hate changing shoes in a middle of a workout.

I will warm up in my Nike frees then go into my roms when i start squatting then chucks if im squatting wide then back to roms if i front squat then sabos if im deadlifting that day. my locker at the gym is packed full. the addi powers have the same heal and same base to push off of too.

Its a small workout just getting in and out of all those shoes...lol

I'm guessing you workout at home than cause I've never been to a gym that allows barefoot anymore, socks on certain lifts yes but complete barefoot no.

Sometimes I get busted and have to go get my shoes out of my truck. But never got staff. but I really never thought about staff infection. I think I'll be wearing shoes now. I don't want to get it.
