the real reason for iraqi occupation

consider this as well bros. i have been doing much reading on this issue and have spoken with several of my old professors as well an oil trader. as an aside, oil has been trading at near the highest price ever. yesterday it was trading at $41.09. at its highest, when the iraqis were burning the oil wells over a decade ago, it was trading at $41.15. yikes!!!!

the reason we went to war is to control the oil. pure and simple. now, that would not potentially be a 'good enough reason' for the rest of the world so we give other 'reasons'. and although these other 'reasons' may be valid, they are secondary to this, nonetheless. for those who are not aware we, as a world, are running out of oil. this will be confirmed in the next decade or two, perhaps sooner, without a doubt. as of now, there are a lot of different spins and theories on this but just wait and time will show. additionally, despite what we're told about canada and alaska being oil-rich, the last vestiges of oil are in the middle east like the saudi emirates, iran, iraq, etc. think about this. if canada and alaska were as oil-fertile as we are told, we would be pimping them out for sure as it would be less costly both in dollars, lives and our global reputation. but they're not. hence, we need to go to where the oil and secure it before it hits $100 per barrel or more.

there is also another thing to consider. if the oil wells are drying, and indeed they are, how long will it be before the saudis simply say to us, 'sorry you can't have any more oil, period, as we need what precious little that is left for ourselves and our country'? if it's running out, why would they sell us the last bit of product and leave themselves hanging? they wouldn't. this yet another factor to consider in going to the middle east.

as of now, too much of our industry, and our whole nation for that matter, depends on this black gold. make no mistake, without it we would be crippled as a nation. until we perfect other sources of power, such as the new energy cells that still being developed, we have to use oil. again, pure and simple. what's not pure and simple is telling the world this, in the way i have just told you. we need that oil and the best way to control something is to be near it. just like an information technology job. you can control things remotely but the most effective way is to be there in the office, right by the equipment. that's why a lot of it guys stay in the office late a lot, eh? same principle here. now, when alternative energy sources are sufficiently developed and our existing infrastructure is replaced to accomodate the use of these sources, then oil will stop being such a problem. until then, there is no other choice. make sense to you? i hope so.

I agree except that the reason we get thier oil is because they want to save our reserves in the event supplys do run dry. Theres's still a ton in this country as well (some believe as much as the middle east)

I think those alternative sources of energy will be a mainstay by the time the world runs out of natural resources but this country was founded on greed and oil is $$$$.

I believe we are hoarding.

this will turn into a he-said-she-said (you being the 'she' pats... lol... ) but the reality is we do not have very much reserves in this country. that's why we're over there trying to secure what dwindling reserves they have left. it's hard to believe because of the propaganda we've been fed over the years but it's true nonetheless, my friend. however we shall have to wait and see as it were.
