I love you guys. As a TACP before I received my JTAC certification I was almost always attached to a Ranger Battalion. Joint base Lewis/Mchord.
I guess he won't say which 3 theaters of conflict he was in. That spans a long time. My time in the Army I saw two or three men with CIB 3rd award and the list is very small in comparison to the history of the army and when the CIB was instituted.
His profile says he's 43. But I do agree with certain things. Here in the South they want to take down Stonwall Jackson because he was a confederate soldier and did what ever atrocities he did. It's fucking war we all commit war time atrocities.
Your buddy gets KIA. And your back out on patrol and killing everything that moves. Fuck it. This how we were trained and when you have a buddy that has had your 6 for years and as shared in good times with your family and watch his kids grow. You don't give a fuck. You will inflict pain and pile up casualties or fucking throw them in the fucking river let them float down stream.
Don't send me off to war as a killer and aspect me to be diplomatic. Not happening. My diplomacy rangers from butt stroking you in you mouth to fucking slitting your throat.
We vets are forever mentally scared and many physically and mentally.
I am married to a African American women very intelligent. But I don't agree with removing history weather bad or good. There are always lessons to be learned from our past.

My team was on PSD for Odierno in fucking Mosul. He always wanted to go out on patrol The fucker was an IED magnet bro. I hated going out with him. I got to see some high ranking officials some were cool others were dicks.
The best part is when you roll around with a sterile uniform and a rifle that they never have seen in their inventory they think differently and will do anything you tell them to do.
I had shit load of Coins from Generals. All in the trash. To me that was a slap in the face. I just fucking guarded you and assured your safety with my team. You need to reach back out to us once we get home and spend $1k on dinner and drinks for each of our team members that guarded you.

Yeah I got one coin. My PSG told me to keep it in my breast pocket. I brought it to the Benning brew pub once to show the tender for free pitchers. Used it once. Collected dust.
Haha sterile uniforms. Our uniforms were those combat shirts, RCU. Had that under armpit material for the torso and multi cam sleeves. Was super comfortable while wearing kit. When wearing that I would always fuck with 2LTs.
Now that I think of it, I fucked with the butter bars even when I was in pins and patches

I was told not to go to batt because I was a little than the average Ranger. And I the structure in SF was more of a mature training to an extent. We didn't do stupid shit like that. If the fucking XO or the Warrant didn't have his shit together they were reassigned with the quickness to desk jobs.
Haha. Bro running a round with sterile unis in theater most people didn't know who we were. Some thought CAG, others thought contractors. But when ever we needed something from a unit we got it. We hooked those units up with shit. They got shoot some cool ass weapons that they would not have ever shot if it wasn't for us. Shit we had so much shit off the books that we got to bring back. Fully auto SCAR Heavy, SCAR Light. Helmets lasers, thermal scopes. LOL. You would be so surprised to see some of the shit I have and my buddies have. Bahahahahahahaha that fuckin reminds me of the time we stole a Stryker from 4th ID and rolled it and made them go retrieve it!!
I didn't get much... RIF and CIF were up my ass about that shit. Only thing the didn't want back was boots and uniforms.
But I snagged a bunch of stuff from RMED when they were looking... I could perform a c section in the back of my car with all the shit I grabbed.

When I was with the 23rd STS at Eglin AFB I worked with the 7th SFG. Never Delta or SEALS. I never attended combat divers school so couldn't be attached to a SEAL team. Was with USMC Raiders the most.

Shit first time I swam in pants I was dragging ass. Was talking to a sniper about it and told me to do breast stroke. Doing that made it a thousand times better. It also helps if you have kit on. Shit floats
