Thyroid Replacement Therapy?

can i take t3 and t4 only for thyroid replacement instead of going testosterone replacement therapy? i have symptoms of hypothyroid and type 2 diabetes.

glp 1 antagonist not available where i live

Do you have endos where you live?
yes, i already went to multiple of them and they say my tsh in good range according to lab reports n then dont listen to me when i say i have symptoms of hypothyroid

then get a more qualified doctor to properly care for your health needs, instead of asking a bunch of bros on a steroid forum
I already spend half of my monthly salary for good doctors multiple times. Most dont even want to accept i have t2dm because my fasting glucose is like 120

TSH is way outside optimal levels for most tests. I keep mine at less than half of your numbers.
Waist circumference to height ratio?

Target 0.5 or less (preferably 0.46 or less).
I have stepped on stage with a ratio that can match that. If my BF gets to 10% i am way past that ratio. And BMI's should be under 25. But that is not the norm in the world and probably not hear either i would thnk.

Those TSH numbers are way beyond what is considered healthy from my reading. I keep mine to less than half of that. Have you had a complete thyroid panel?

Can't hide from that waist circumference to height ratio. I guess you could if you really try to suck it in. You are right though that once you get significant ab development (muscular obesity etc) then the ratio gets challenging. For the normal folk it is pretty handy though.

Yes it would be good for most people. But most are overweight in life. And that applies to those that lift weights as well. And would have more muscle on their waist line form heavy weights. My BMI has been over 30 for decades which makes me clinically obese. being able to see some abs doesn't matter as i am still obese. Ratios and BMI are not necessarily about BF for athletes or weight lifters.

Waist circumference to height ratio?
0.6 when not sucked in and 0.58 when sucking in.

Lookout those up.

Always include reference ranges for the tests.

Your calculated free testosterone is in the 10 to 12 ng/dl neighborhood I would venture. Eugonadal.

Ranges on tests?

Free Test estimated by Vermeulen calculator typically within 20% of equilibrium dialysis measurement if TT done by LCMS.

Your lower SHBG and high waist to height plus fasting blood glucose does seem to point to metabolic syndrome.

please provide ref ranges for thyroid values...specifically fT3 and fT4.

Your serum fT4 appears on the low side yet your serum fT3 appears solid. I will reserve more comments after I see the ref ranges.

Have you had a lipid panel /CBC/CMP?

I'd start getting that waist circumference down if it was me. Good read below if you haven't seen it. I've been there on the waist to height ratio. Best wishes.

Monitor your lipids if you go down this path. Some do great and some don't. Track trig/hdl-c ratio. Simple and it works.

From a health/heart perspective muscular obesity a concern just like fat obesity. More muscle, more blood volume, more work for the heart. Regardless of whether bodybuilder or civilian, these targets are good discussion starting points for someone looking to turn around their health / obesity IMO.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Complete metabolic panel. Would include fasting glucose.

Yeah your thyroid situation is on the fence. What would be called almost subclinical hypo. That TSH ceiling on ref range is higher than most assays. I wonder when the TSH reference range max will include up to 10 lol?

I've had an Endo treat with numbers similar but I would not expect a miracle.

Your fT3 is good and your fT4 could be notched up a bit. A progressive endo may prescribe a very low dose of levothyroxine and see how you do. Do not supplement with liothyronine by itself.

Of course getting the waist down may help improve your TT/FT as well. In my case it did not.

sorry bro i only checked for fasting glucose and insulin. i update my results in my other post.

what dosage would be called low dose? do i use the dosage that is said to be for my weight? or start with something like 25 mcg?

im new to this sorry if i ask noob question

This is completely for info purposes only.

Standard levithyroxine dose for hypothyroidism is ~1.6 mcg/kg/day where kg is body mass.

So a low dose to start titrating TSH would be 25 to 50 mcg for a 100 kg male. You'd add levothyroxine and then assess symptoms and bloodwork in 12 weeks. Repeat. This is responsible approach.
