There are some huge exaggerations around TRT effects for sure but for those that are needing it, the impacts are real and life saving. After more than 6 months of nightly brain fog, complete unexplained nightly exhaustion and zero sexual desire (which my partner had to point out) I realized something was wrong. Finally got tested and came in below 200. Went on TRT and almost overnight life became normal again. So for me the transformation was incredible but for those that started out symptom free I can see where it could be perceived as an exaggeration.

Low testosterone is far more detrimental to your health than optimal levels of testosterone that TRT can achieve as well. So tired of these idiot doctors pushing their fear-mongering ignorance on TRT and testosterone in general.

Agreed - I'm in my 30's & done with kids. I plan on cycling at least once before B&C'ing (enough AI/PCT for three legit cycles), but cycling a couple times with proper bloods throughout will give me an idea of my normal T and whether or not I should go script hunting at some point.

I read about guys that time their bloods after cycle so that everything is crashed making TRT obvious for the doc, but I'm not well versed enough in that yet to know if it's fact/bullshit.

If you go into a TRT appointment at a lean 220 and ask for Test because it’s low, your doctor is going to know what’s up. Whether or not they support this behavior/method is another question.

That’s why i preach the things I do. I WILL be in charge of my OWN health. If TRT shortens my life by a few years so fucking what ? If the years I’m living are quality that’s all that matters to me. Who wants to be 100 when 20 of those years are misery ?
I should have died long ago so everything is gravy for me now.

Have sent these to a couple guys struggling with quads.

1.5” 25 or 27g, can’t remember, pin cap cut down to about .75” as a guard so you can apply pressure without sinking more of the pin in. Anywhere between my fingers there has worked for me. The hand on quad trick is almost always a good to go site (opposite hand, middle finger on point of knee cap, thumb makes an L, where it lands is the site). I’m also loving up higher lately.

Thanks for this. Haven't yet pinned quads but want to. Noticed you have the same hand as your leg in the second pic. Do you mean to point out you can pin the inside of the quad as well as outside?

If it’s sore I don’t pin it. If it’s swollen or discolored don’t pin it. If there’s a visible knot or one that can be felt with your hand don’t pin it.

I prefer to pin sites that align with the muscle im training that day. Try to keep quads on leg day. Eventually I’ll beback to using delts. Hips are always a good spot. Would also advise not pinning a site the day after its been trained.

Good advice man. I've been pinning sites I don't train that day. Why do you pin sites you do train?

That is literally what I just stated. Deadlifts are primarily a leg exercise and if you want a thicker back, rack pulls are superior in every way as you can handle way more weight and it’s only going to stimulate your lats and erector spinae, while taking out lower body activation.

Never done rack pulls and sounds like i should add them into my program. Working on lat width/activation at the moment as they are not as developed as I would like.

For lagging muscles it’s a great way to establish mind to muscle connection. It helps get blood in there and start settling the oil between the fibers vs sitting there lumped up. And I find, especially with legs, PIP is reduced.

Hips are good to go whenever. I do usually try to avoid pinning delts with anything more than a CC on Shoulder day because the pump creates pain so bad it inhibits me. But my delts are bitches.

Rack pulls and DLs will def help. Great way to end a back day and tie your back together.

But don’t consider it a lat growth key.

Try doing pulldowns with your scapulas locked down so that only your lats are performing the motion. Get your rows pulled back to your hips not your belly. Get some Pullovers in there too.

Shit talk the website and business that is T-Nation all you want. They post some dumb shit.

Experienced, educated strength and conditioning coaches with years of practice under their belt are guna require a bit more qualification from you than your opinion that they’re wrong.

I’m curious if you read the article at all or know who the author is.

I used to get their publications in my 20's and loved it. Even ran some of their MAG10 back in the day. They have some very well educated coaches/trainers and I follow alot of their training tips.

Pullovers are one of the single greatest exercises that no one seems to do. It hits most everything on your upper body, and there’s nothing better to do for your serratus anterior.

Thanks Mac. My trainer has me working on exactly that. Keeping my T-spine locked down and activating my lats on pulldowns as well as narrow grip T-Bar rows (I'll try pulling more into my hips on back day tomorrow), reverse grip single arm pulldowns on Hammer Strength machine, plus a host of other exercises to bring up my lats.
