I read the coroners vague report awhile back, and if I remember right, he was everything but the epitome of health. His heart/liver/lungs were well above the normal weight. I don't think AAS abuse helped, but certainly abusing opioids/coke would overshadow the former. I mean, since we're presented those three substance abuses, which pair would logically cause a more traumatic/acute death?

The coroner fucked up (accidentally...who knows), by not doing a toxicology report for some reason. Not really sure how that slips in a death like this, but so goes the story...

He was doing very well until he met his wife ,eventually becoming his ex-wife ,driving him crazy ..
his wife was very outgoing and loved cocaine and had vast connections ultimately killing him..
The steroids contributed to his oversized heart along with high blood pressure which becomes quite dangerous as your body size increases!!
it was known that when they found him there was cocaine in the bathroom but the ex quickly cleaned it up..
being very comfortable with needles you quickly realize you can take a little bit of Coke or heroin based products and have a more intense high and make the drugs last longer when you start shooting it ..
They permanently close his medical file for the mere fact they did not want to tarnish his image as an awesome athlete and knowledgeable mentor for the youth ..
