Crazy, but you don’t need a license to carry on your own property in Texas. Concealed or not. Inside or out. Wonder where that charge came from.

Doing so while intoxicated changes things...
PENAL CODE CHAPTER 46. WEAPONS

(d) A license holder commits an offense if, while intoxicated, the license holder carries a handgun under the authority of Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code, regardless of whether the handgun is concealed or carried in a shoulder or belt holster.

Also, this:

Private property is still a public place under their statute and that includes outside your house. As I've seen explained repeatedly, public place is basically anyplace except inside your house. Being intoxicated on your property is not sufficient though. The other part of the statute "endanger the person or another" is what likely cinched it as LE was met with resistance.

Are you licensed in TX? Where I’m licensed it doesn’t matter (while carrying) if your intoxicated. The only time it matters is your intoxication level during use of a weapon in a deadly force situation.
I can be drunk as shit with my legal weapon on my property and in public (other than a stand a lone bar). Hard to believe TX would be more stringent and to be honest I have never fired a shot in the middle of the night.
We will have to wait and see what the prosecution actually files before making judgement.

Can you imagine how pissed off the cop must be who’s job was tasked to read 3286 pages of mostly useless banter? Lmao

I’m sure they have everything they need but you’d think with a bust of this size they would read this thread as it validates operations and sales.

This cracked me up.

But you’re right. Now can you imagine the poor fucker has to not only read it but also has to take notes and copy excerpts?

So I finally got more or less caught up on this nightmarish shit-show. Wow.

Some key takeaways for folks who just arrived and don't feel like a herculean reading session:

- Sources lie and are not your friends.
- Never forget that there are real lives, real people, behind the usernames.
- Don't let your internet balls write checks that your real life balls can't cash.
- Read the sticky: private sources aren't the be-all end-all. If your preferred source stops having a presence at Meso, it's not a good sign of things to come.
- Alcohol and firearms don't mix. Neither do sourcing and ego.
- Opsec is of utmost importance and ties directly into harm reduction.
- Success is not a measure of integrity.
