Training Programs

Hi Four,

This weekend I better read Carnage, Gauntlet, Creeping Death 2 and Gamma Bomb and I chosen Gauntlet.

I'll follow with Creeping Death 2 and I'll finish with Carnage (more intensity).

Is it a good plane? [emoji4]
As long as you know you will have your work cut out for you haha. Most of these programs are intense. I’m planning on running Gauntlet myself here in about 6 weeks.

I'm going to start Gauntlet in October (I want to finish Wendler 5/3/1 in Sept.) maybe I'll ask you any advise [emoji39]

Gama Bomb and Carnage can wait...

The phat program is awesome. I ran it last year. Made solid progress with it. Would definitely run again in the future.
How did you work abs and cardio into the phat program? I thought about doing barbell complexes for cardio 2 to 3 days a week but I'm not sure if that's enough

Well honestly I took a note from John meadows when it comes to abdominal training and used it for the PHAT program. This is what it looked like:

Abdominals – 8 sets

Do 2 times this week on whatever days you want.

Pick one exercise from the following to hit lower abs:

- Hanging Leg Raises
- Leg raises with your elbows supported on pad
- Leg raises on a decline board/bench
- V ups

Pick one exercise from the following to hit upper abs:

- Incline sit ups
- Rope pulldowns/crunches
- Band crunches

For abs – these will always be simple. You will pick an exercise from the first list and do 4 sets of 15-25 reps depending on how hard they are. Next you will pick an exercise from the upper ab list, and do the same. Each ab workout will be 8 sets.

Gamma Bomb would definitely be better to get your feet wet with in terms of meadows programs. But if you want a ball busting program then stick with Gauntlet. Be ready to work and be sore. I encourage it man and pushing yourself. You can shoot me a pm anytime!!!

What about obliques?

Thanks to you guys discussing this hear I think I am going to give creeping death a try. Was able to find it online and seems to have a hams chest and back focus which would be great. Just started my lean bulk blast so I’ll wait til things are rolling and switch to it. I’ve followed tons of his workouts on YouTube, but never done a program.

I've been running DC Training and to be honest, it doesn't seem like much on paper but it's very intense. I'm sore all the time. Loving it, especially with my hectic work/ home schedule. I'm aware this doesn't directly address op's questions but thought I'd chime in.

DC training is 100% the best system for advanced intermediates and beyond to put on mass, imo nothing compares.

For those asking about what to do for obliques.....???? Really. Ask that when you get the size you want and are below 8%.

This ocd amatuer bodybuilders have with wanting to tweak this or that or add this or that is frustrating as shit. Just hit one of the two an rollouts or leg raises in some form and DON'T FUCK WITH THE PROGRAM!!!!

By the time some of y'all are done adding a little thing here and there, it makes the badass programs 3 hours long and into something totally different then what it's meant to be. It's rediculous. If you can kill something with one shot, you don't go empty the clip. All your doing at this point is causing cns fatigue.

Just finished day 1 of PHAT. It felt amazing to be back in the gym after about a 6 week layoff and I really think I'm gonna like these workouts. I also got a great pump from the upper body power day so I'm betting the hypertrophy day is gonna be something else

They just had a huge one. 45% off. Got their bb belt. Been eyeing it for ever.
I won't be starting one of his programs for quite a while so I'll just check the site from time to time. Hopefully they'll have another sale in the next 8 weeks

Can't like enough of @FourOneDeuxFitt 's posts. Really solid advice in them.

@TideGear another option for a free program could be Lyle's Generic Bulking Routine. It's a lower/upper split with tons of thought put into it. With a few modifications and additions to some not-so-worked muscle groups, it's almost ideal. That's what I base my training programming for me and my clients. PHAT is for more 'advanced' so ideally, I would first run Lyle's GBR and then PHAT. Since you already started PHAT roll with it.

Here is a download link to the program [http://www.filedropper.com/lylemcdonaldgenericbulkingroutinefaq], it might look simple in the eye but many had great results with it. You could also do some specialization cycles for some body parts to increase its complexity.

Thanks man. I've actually acquired some of meadows programs since my last visit to this thread but I'll check that one out too
