Training with MS

Hey guys. Recently my girl was diagnosed with MS and it was caught at a very early stage. Switched her diet over 100% following Terry Wahls guidelines. Essentially paleo with a few more restrictions. No gluten dairy etc, nothing inflammatory. She wants to stay away from meds and shit, manage it naturally and with chiropractic. Especially since Terry Wahls reversed hers.

So far we've gotten the typical response from doctors as for lifting. Basically just body weight stuff and low intensity... Forever? I know there are bodybuilders who have MS. She doesn't have any symptoms aside from fatigued.

Looking for some input here. My thought it she can still train, just be smart. If something doesn't feel right, back off. She's not trying to compete, but she loves training like a bodybuilder. Favorite lifts are deadlifts and squats (yup I got a good girl and not a cardio bunny lol)

Of course she's also 100% natural and will stay that way but it would be good to hear from others who have experience. Please serious responses only. We're staying very optimistic but it's still a serious disease

Will she still be monitored by her doctor? There are medications that are helpful in managing MS that may be useful as part of this plan you outlined. She should discuss this with her doc.

She will still be monitored by her doctor, but she really wants to stay away from prescriptions and medication if possible. Obviously if it gets to the point where it's necessary for quality of life, she will.

We'll be meeting with her neurologist soon as well.

Sounds like good plan.

A friend of mine some of you may know from AM or DominantMass V. Had MS at more of an advanced stage and fought to stay out of the wheelchair by using gear and competing in powerlifting. He was pretty successful competing and fighting off the MS but depression got him in the end and committed suicide after forced retirement from ems and some other issues. He did well battling the ms though and preached the paleo diet for everyone.
