Using clomid with testosterone

Hackskii are you saying that using a testosterone cream and clomid that my testicles will shut down

Pretty soon many of us won't have to rely on clomid or even trt, if you are secondary hypo like me, Androxal is on its way, let's hope it gets FDA approval.

hacksii my doctor I believed said otherwise , considering how I have both primary and secondary hypo

When I go to work I would put on the cream ( testicular issue when standing I believe blood flow leading to low t) then after work sometimes depending on the day take the clomid so my testicles don't shut down and atrophy, and on my off days not even use the cream at all

this was my current plan of attack until hopefully I can fix my primary hypo problem for good I believe something is not anatomically correct , though you guys don't think that this will work? what would you guys recommend I do ?

Check your LH numbers while on the gel, and clomid, that will tell you instead of hoping it will move.
Get some bloods after you have been on a month.
What is the dose of clomid?

Problem with Clomid hrt protocols is that although it really bumps testosterone if you are secondary hypo, the feelings doesn't seem to react as much, especially libido.
I've done labs recently after only 15 days of 25mg eod Clomid and my test bumped from 300 to 790 and free test from 90 to 250. e2 was around 15 so all in check but libido wasn't any better so the numbers alone don't mean shit for some people while on Clomid there is clearly some poorly understood action going on regarding the receptors flooding with E that affects some more than others.

The hope relies on Androxal and it's single isomer formula

The way I understand it is that clomid should not be used on cycle due to the feedback loop it utilizes. Hcg is the preferred choice to keep the testicles from shrinking as is bypasses the feedback loops and effects lh directly.

That said I've heard of others on cycle who've used clomid with success. Also, the fact that it's doctor prescribed has gotta say something I'd think. You should ask why not hcg next time you have a visit.

Roast dawg what exactly do you mean by the feedback loop?
Others will be able to explain this much better than me but the way I understand it is clomid uses the htpa feedback loop and steroids shut the hpta down rendering clomid ineffective on cycle. Hcg on the other hand stimulates the leydig cells directly and isn't hindered by the hpta being shut down.

Here's how this system works. The pituitary gland creates luteinizing hormone (LH) and that LH is sensed by the Leydig cells in the testies and triggers them to generate testostrone. Then the testostrone naturally converts to estrogen, at a certain estrogen level the pituitary gland stops creating LH, thus testostrone production ceases.
Clomid works by blocking estrogen at the pituitary gland thus the pituitary gland keeps creating LH and the testies testostrone.
With HCG, you are inserting a fake LH so the Leydig cells pick it up and make testostrone. But since there is estrogen in the system normally from running a cycle the pituitary gland senses this and doesn't create more LH naturally. You are faking out the Leydig cells with HCG.
I'm not sure what happens if you use both at the same time or how much estrogen the clomid can block if you run it on cycle. I would think if you have an AI and keep e levels low adding clomid would cause the body to create LH. That would be in addition to the HCG fake LH you are injecting.
I hope that helps at least explain how the two work separately.

Way better explanation than mine... Thanks bro!

see I also have this question before regarding cycling and doing PCT at the same time. just because my doctor when I was in my younger years would makes a cocktail of steroids and HCG and I felt great he said it was necessary and never seem to have a problem.

I guess the logical question is why would you want to cycle and run clomid at the same time? What advantage do you think you are getting?

For the same reason people take HCg: keep testicular activity and prevent shrinkage.
The question is legit. But I guess it won't work that way during exogenous hormone use , so HCG is the way to go

Yeah my current plan has been I've stopped taking the clomid ( the way you guys are talking it sounds as if taking clomid and testosterone cream and the same time would just be a waste of the clomid , since the clomid wouldn't be doing anything right?)

and another quick 2 questions

1. if I stop using this testosterone cream will clomid brings my levels back to normal again or do I have to be on the cream for life?

2. applying testosterone cream to the scrotum is their any reason why I shouldn't do this? especially if I want to use my natural testosterone production again?

for the record I believe I have an odd unique form of both primary hypogonadism and secondary hypogondism though I believe my primary can be cured hopefully

Are there any treatment protocols that involve using low clomid doses with testosterone? I'm intrested in the FSH/LH stimulating properties of clomid and wonder if it can be combined with testosterone shots.

I'd like to try this,to try to raise my FSH levels and my testicle size. Or do i need to stop testosterone shots when trying clomid?

The problem is relatively straightforward the pituitary ceases LH/FSH when either TT OR E-2 rise above their threshold. and for most folk that's around 200ng/dl! of TT, which ain't squat!

So it matters not how LOW E-2 is, if TT (or any other androgen/AAS) is elevated LH/FSH production STOPS. (This question often arises bc many mates don't realize TT can and does directly also influence LH/FSH production and that this is NOT some E-2 dependent process!)

If such were not the case this thing we call PCT would be a farce, would it not? Heck with that BS why I'll just run an AI / SERM or a combination of the two and Shazam, no more PCT for BB/lifters or weekend warriors right ?

NOT!!!

Lets see here although I never noted instructions along those lines mentioned in Topical TT package inserts, I suppose you could also use it as an enema. After all the rectal absorption of many drugs is far superior to the dermal route! :)
