Ventrogluteal injection site?

Hey guys, I'm trying to find some very clear pictures on where the ventrogluteal injection site is. There seems to be a lot of conflicting info and many diagrams indicate the area you're looking to inject is actually the TFL.

For a few reasons, it's hard for me to imagine the tfl could possibly be a good injection site even if well developed.

Does anyone have any pictures or videos depicting the location on an actual person rather than a drawing?

Your pinning the gluteus medius. This for me is a unbearable spot to inject but I have heard a lot of people do in it
Thats what would make sense to me. Which say you are looking at the head of the femur from the side, forward (anterior) of that is where the tfl is and behind (posterior) of that is more of the glute medius area, correct? But most diagrams show it between the head of the femur and the edge of the hip which from what I can see is the tfl

It’s directly behind the top of the TFL.

One tip that I can offer is to stick your leg out to the side. Mark the muscle that bulges out by the crest of your hip, behind the TFL, with the reverse side of the needle cap. This will leave a small red circle.

Swab up and inject on that spot and you should be good.

What I did to find it is take your pointer finger and put it on your hip bone. Then take your thumb and wrap it around your waist to the rear hip bone. Where your palm lands is where you need to inject. You’re not threading a needle. The oil dispersal in every direction and unless you are extremely skinny there isn’t anything you could hit that would be “bad”.

Is there a reason you need another injection site? Id pin glute, quad, or shoulder before I’d try a stab at that site lol

Once you get the hang of it VG is smooth as butter.

It can handle 3ml and if you do get PIP it doesn’t interfere with your workouts as much as other sites.

This is why. Plus after a decade of hitting glutes quads and delts it would be nice to have another spot.
Dood I just did a vg shot that put me out a week! One time i did one and tried to ignore the pain and squat and fucked up my knee
Just out of curiosity, how sure are you that you were in the right spot? If you got it in the tfl that would certainly be a miserable experience

Simple but excellent explanation [emoji1360]

I’ll never pin in my quads. Best spots (for me) glute, vent glute, delts and lats. I pin everyday and never more than 1mL in one site. spreading out dosages reduces scar tissue. If you’ve ever been super lean you can tell where you inject usually. I’ve also read that scar tissue interferes with compound ?“uptake”? But Don’t know the truth behind that.
