I have a very itchy rash on my scrotum and part of the upper thighs right next to the testicles that hasn't gone away after nearly 4 months. It is so itchy that it keeps waking me up at night.
I did mention it to the doc when I consulted him about an unrelated issue (sports injury), but he didn't even ask to look at it and fobbed me off saying "just use some cortisone cream and it will go away". I'm not sure that cortisone cream can even be safely applied to the scrotum. I'm concerned that this could be some type of STD. I think it really should have gone away on its own after all this time. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks.

Yeah I would guess its jock itch too. I had a bad case when I was a teen and showed my mom lol. She assumed I had STD and went off for several days on how horrible I was. Then we went to doc and discovered I was just a dirty lil fuck.. Jk For me it was probably a combo of doing two a days training in football and staying in sweaty clothes without changing throughout the day.

Sounds like jock itch. Fungal infection similar to athletes foot or ringworm. Slap some antifungal cream on that bitch, and if it's not better within a week, go see the doc.
I have had that same issue for quite a while and aggressive treatment with Tinactin or Lamisil cleared it up for me within 4 months. It has been 18 months since and haven't had it recur (yet). Also keep your groin area clean by using soap and water every showertime then drying well with CLEAN towels.

Been down this road myself,Jockitch brother, especially as the wheather warms and you are sweating more even when not working out.Take a shower after a workout and keep your junk dry and spray with anti fungal spray or cream wear boxers and keep everything as dry as possible.Soundsike your's is pretty bad so it may take a bit to clear up.

Wearing boxers or boxer briefs is also a good idea so your junk has some wiggle room so that moisture can be carried away rather than being trapped like with wearing regular briefs.

get as much air to it as possible when you sleep. This and creams or powders is the only thing that keeps military feet from falling off after wearing boots 18+ hours a day. And of course shower.

I had some wicked ringworm last year, it never grew on the dick or balls. just the surrounding areas.

I had that same shit and every time I'd seem to be greeting past it, it would flare up again. You have to use the anti fungal past when the symptoms go away and powder that shit down. You have to keep dry. I tried everything for well more that a year. Until you keep it dry, it will keep growing.

Ps- use a hairdryer to dry the area before applying. Keep on low heat though, unless you want to look like Richard Pryor freebasing down there.

I just wanted to thank you for NOT posting pics!

Sincerely & Respectfully,

Mike
lol don't blame you..my own case was baaaaad enough:eek:

Yes, you have to keep using the antifungal for about 2-4 months after the rash goes away, then taper off the frequency over another month. This way you can make sure all the fungus is absolutely GONE.

Never had it on my growin just feet. But i will say that since i started letting my wife keep me clean shaven down there i dont sweat near as much or get the sweaty balls smell. Not sure if it would help you or if shaving at this point would be wise.

Get your doctor to prescribe you clotrimozole. Works on your jock itch like a beast.
