Virgin DNP Run - 14 days

Day 1

Stats 42 yrs, 5'11" @ 267 lbs (BF% ??, fat by bodybuilding standards, OK for normal folks)
- had a lower back injury which limited my training for 6 month, got fat
- went from 282 - 267 through regular diet and exercise in 3 months
- going on vacation May 8th for a wedding, gotta look good since I'm the best man
- goal is to drop 10+ lbs before I go

Plan, 3 days DNP @ 1 cap - 250mg (crystalline) then bump up to 2 caps - 500mg for the remainder of the run

First dose @ 4pm

Took supps/vits:
R-ALA
Vit C,E,D
15 ml Glycerin in one shot
6 litres of water

nutrition - not too far off from my regular diet - 50% carbs, 40% protein, 10% fat, I'm hypoglycemic so I need the carbs, low carb diets don't work any more for me. I have lost a pound a week on this diet so I'm going to see what the DNP adds to the mix.

workout: regular chest (primary)/shoulders (seondary) - nothing out of the ordinary

pretty uneventful as I expected, should be the same for the next couple of days until the DNP builds up
 
Day 2

Dose at 4pm.

Took supps/vits:

Vit C,E,D
15 ml Glycerin x 3
6 litres of water

Last night: Got a little sweaty throughout the night. I was surprised to feel that after only one cap. Nothing too crazy but noticed the sweat when I got up to piss which was a lot from all the water.

workout - back/biceps - nothing out the ordinary to report, maybe a little more sweating than normal, but not too noticeable.
 
Day 3

Dose at 4pm

Last night: same as the previous night, was disturbed more by the need to piss than anything else

Overall I felt a few more heat surges than the previous days. It's mainly my head/face that gets hot and I start sweating. Annoying, but not unbearable. Had a bit of the runs too, could be I'm a bit dehydrated? I'm going to start taking electrolyte pills to make sure I replensh them. Gonna grab me some V8 too. It may also be the glycerin as it is used as a laxative in some cases. I think I'll take smaller doses throughout the day and see what happens.

Workout - chest(secondary)/shoulders(primary) - started right off the bat sweating, felt a difference in energy too, I just didn't feel like pushing things so I worked more towards a pump than lifting heavy.

nutrition - overall pretty clean except I was craving a slice of pizza, so I had one slice. 30 min later I had a heat flare up which lasted for only 20 min.

note: at around 10pm I started sweating constantly, it was't pouring, but I was always wiping myself down.

I forgot to mention I am currently on cycle - 800 T400, 450 NPP - I don't run that muc as compared to most people, in this case to make sure I lose a little muscle as possible.
 
Day 4

First 250 cap @ 9am, 2nd 250 cap at 7om

last night: what a horrible sleep, i woke up every hour pissing and sweating, i had a huge fan on me, plus it's relatively cool, but it didn't matter, it was a constant heat wave (not blistering hot
just always feeling very warm)

about 30 min after taking a cap i felt the heat turn on, i sweated for 3 hours straight before getting relief. now i feel warm but if i don't do anything i'm ok.
laying on the bed with a fan keeps things ok, but i will still get the odd bouts of sweating.

spreading out the glycerin seemed to help with the runs issue, either that or something else was bothering me before and now it's not. my stool is always soft, like baby food.

note: do not watch a comedy during the heat wave, i was watching house bunny (oh god i know), and laughing made me pour sweat like a fat kid in july.

last night: same shitty sweaty sleep

sweat all day long, i was at a family get together so my diet wasn't as clean, but i definitely do as much damage as I normall would. most of the time I would be warm and have a thin layer of water covering my skin, other times - laughing, goofing around - I would be dripping in sweat. my family thinks I have a fever/flu of some sort.

I was tired today might be from the shit sleep, might be the DNP lethargy setting in, whatever the case I took some EC to get a little pep. Worked OK.
 
Day 6

very similar day to yesterday. My overall energy was pretty good today, but too much walking around gets me winded. I have asthma and it almost feels like I'm having an attack. I drank V8 to keep me hydrated, but I don't know if it helped. My sleep last night was terrible - night sweat, constant waking up and never comfortale. I do not get more than an hour of sleep before I wake up. This is the worst part of this whole experience.
 
Day 7

didn't workout over the Easter weekend, too busy with family stuff. I was going to do something today but I have no energy or will to do anything today. my breathing continue to be laboured when doing anything simple like walking to the kitchen. sweating is almost constant now, just beads of it streaming from everwhere.

Eating was pretty good considering the holiday. I ate a good amount of mashed potatoes, stuffing, etc, but didn't go overboard like most years. I figure why go through this crap only to hinder my gain due to sloppy eating? My GF made the dinner where nrmaly I would taking care of things. The eat was too much for me to take. I guess they were right, if ya can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. LOL!
 
Here's where I stand:

7 days on DNP - 3 @ 250mg, 4 @ 500mg (crystalline)
Starting weight: 267 lbs
Current weight: 259 lbs

That's a difference of 8 lbs. I guess this stuff really works. A couple of notes:

- I'm holding water around the mid-section, so I've probably lost more
- water plus flat muscles makes me look like crap, I won't have a fair assessment until a week after my last cap
- sides encountered so far - excessive sweating all the time, horrible sleep due to pissing and sweating, lethergy from the DNP and from a lack of sleep, difficulty breathing doing the most simple of tasks, the odd bout of he runs (neon orange poop a coupel of times)

I don't know if I'l go the full 14 days, it's the lack of sleep that's getting to me and this diffiulty breathing is getting worse. We see how things go and re-evaluate at day 10.

last night - horrible, i just can't sleep. I get at best 1 hour then I'm up. I'm sweating through a couple sheets, just drenched.

nutrition - no problems, I do have carb cravings but the thought of bringing on a heat flare scares me off. I probably could get away with a little more sloppy eating, but I want to make sure I get the most out of this run especially from these sides.

overall - drenched in sweast, no sleep, tired as all hell, and starting to breath harder
 
Day 9

Last night: I'm starting to lose it with the sleeping, tomorrow will be my last day on DNP. The lack of sleep if making me cranky, tired, and just plain miserable. Everything in the bed is soaked.

workouts - non-existant. I am just plain too tired to hit the gym.

nutrition - I'm craving more carbs than every but I'm being pretty good about it. The EC stack is helping curb the appetite and it's giving me the energy to make it through the day.

overall - pretty much the same as usual. got another small bout of baby-like poop, but nothing serious.

Current weight: 255 lbs

I have lost 12 lbs in 9 days AND I'm still holding some water.

I will weight myself tomorrow and then watch my weight after I stop to see how much water I've been carrying. I don't think it's a lot, maybe 3-5 lbs at most.
 
Day 10

That's it for me, I need my sleep. For those of you who can handle this stuff at higher doses or for longer periods of time, I tip my hat to you.

Current Weight: 253 - that's a loss of 14 pounds in 10 days.

I will update on the post-DNP water loss which I expect to be around 3-4 pounds.

any crazy bad sides other than lack of sleep?

Lack of sleep was the worst, it affected everything - mood, lethargy, ability to concentrate, etc. The sweats were terrible, I was just dripping wet all the time, I went through shirts like crazy. I was lucky that I wasn't working at the time. Those were the worst sides, I also had neon orange poop that came out like baby food.

I dropped another 4 lbs of water three days after my last cap. I'm sitting at 249 right now. That's a total of 18lbs lost using 10 days of DNP.

I definitly look leaner than before, more vascular. I can really see the difference when I'm pumped at the gym.

At this point I'm going to try a low dose - 1 cap - run for as long as I can, maybe 20 days? I'm hoping that the side will be more tolerable and the ability to do cardio and weight training will aid the low dosage of DNP. I'm going to take a three week break though before I start.

Has anyone had success with low dose runs of DNP? Results?
 
sleep aids for me didnt work because i woke up in strange places, but benadryl did help with the sleep, id be soaked in sweat but still slept great. and the lethargy is just from the dnp in general, doesnt have to do with the lack of sleep, your body is just drained of energy and using its storage.

Congrats on your success. i lost 10 lbs my first cycle of just a week after the water came off, nice to see you had great success as well, however i did over dose at the end which resulted in a life danger high temp but hell, i lost the weight for good it seems. i like being able to tighten my belt all the way down and it still be too big.

i personally have not tried the low dose long cycle, however i would think and someone please jump in on my theory here, but as dnp depletes the body of glycogen, wouldnt a low dose of dnp simply keep you in a state of ketosis similar as seen on a low carb diet? if so then you would slowly see a progressive weight reduction over time on a much milder scale, however i guess it would keep you in check of your new shape.

i would however suggest staying away from long term. its just me, but because there does seem to still be unknown effects because of the lack of high funded research and testing, it may cause problems directly or indirectly with your body vs just keeping your diet in check. who knows, maybe you will even live longer if you kept a low dose. i dont recall exactly which animal it was tested on, but their life span increased when given oxidants vs those that where given antioxidants.
 
Thanks for the input Fierro. I decided to do a 2nd run of DNP and keep it short. This time 2 caps didn't hit me like the first time. It was as if I had built a tolerance to it. I did 4 days at 1 cap, then 4 days at 2. I only dropped 3-4 pounds VS the 8 pounds from my first run. So I bumped it to 3 caps.

Holy crap! I could only handle 3 days on that dose as I was on fire and my breathing went right out the window. I dropped 3 pounds during those 3 days. I came back to 2 caps and feel much better. I'm running hot all the time, but my breathing is so much better. At this point I've lost 10 lbs in 14 days.

Of all the side effects it's the breathing that kills me. I have sleep apnea and need a CPAP machine. At a high dose of DNP I can't breath through my sleep mask. Normal breathing is OK, but there's no way I can get through a night with my CPAP machine.
 
I don't know if it's affecting you but I noticed Iv started to lose my ability to taste food or drinks. There's this nasty taste that seems more from things that are sweet. The only thing I can enjoy eating are any type of veggies drenched in lime juice. I can't taste salt very well either.

Congrats on your seccess with the dnp, I make my own caps so I adjust my dosages as needed through out the day and keep a thermometer at work. I'm not sure of the exact weight loss as of now but im now a 30 inch waist.

Also the loss of taste may not be too bad as I don't care to spend money on junk food any more, I'm fine eating citrus. Except oranges, those are too sweet and so they taste bad.
