Visiting the "MAN CAVE" next week

I am making the pilgrimage to Lansing from Philly PA to get some expert opinions and options from the best. My local Endo honestly knows less than me. He said he was willing to learn... but when it became a reality he turned his egotistical little nose up and said I needed to figure out what made me feel good. He couldn't help. E2 and HCG? Whats that got to do with it he asked. Needless to say he is off my christmas card list. Looking forward to meeting and working with Dr. John. From our conversations he seems to be a really caring and great guy.

your azz should take me also.........i prob live like 10 min from u lol..........FIELD TRIP..... hehe.......

You're going to a physician's appointment like none other. You don't have to squeeze yourself into a 15 minute because-of-the-insurance-companies time-slot when you see Dr. John. And of course, he offers the best in male HRT.

Give your old endocrinologist credit. He might be incompetant, but at least he isn't also egotistical like most endocrinologists.

Does Dr. John take insurance I would make the trip but can't find him on my Dr.'s list. Money is tight.
Phil
He does not take insurance for the office visit. I believe that he said a while back that it helps with the confidentiality of his patient's records. You can use insurance however for your prescriptions.

You're on vaction in another state and get sick or out of state on extended business and need continuing care, do you have to travel back to your local network for covered treatment? If not, then your insurance might have a "travel" option that would cover your office visit. You pay up front, and the insurance co. reimburses you "up to the regular and usual cost" for the visit. As with most things insurance, they get to decide what constitutes regular/usual cost.

Make sure that you find out before taking the trip and don't state that you took the trip for the purpose of seeing Dr. John. There is so much to see in beautiful Lansing ;)

Since you live so close to Dr. John I don't think that this will help you, Phil. But, it may help others with the same issue who live out of state.

I'm sure that a lot of guys submit an out-of-network claim after seeing Dr. John. The biggest expense is actually the lab prices: you do NOT want to pay list prices on the labs. Sometimes, even if the insurance doesn't pay for the labs, you can at least get their "negotiated rates" which are 80-90% less.

If the insurance pays for the labs then you shouldn't worry about the office visit because it's VERY reasonable for the amount and quality of care you will receive.

As for insurance paying after-the-fact, it can be done but may take a little twisting of the arm.
