Want to Lose Weight?

No ones reading this long ass thing. Dude I honestly have no idea what you’re trying to get at here and this shit is fuvkin exausting me I’m out. I don’t think anyone here is even obese go take this shit to the lazy moms who gave up trying and they’ll eat it up like candy. You’re literally saying “do nothing and you’ll lose weight”
I am saying, "your stress is causing your obesity and other ailments." If you want me to add to that I can, "If you don't take care of your stress it will literally be the biggest adversity in your life. Ruining your precious life with negative thoughts and causing REAL problems like obesity and even cancers!"

I know you are going to think I sound crazy but a friend of mine throws up after she smokes. I was talking to her yesterday and she was smoking and right after she started coughing to the point of vomiting. She has seen a specialist and I was talking to her about it. She said the specialist said it was "acid reflux" and I was thinking about it and she has been very stressed lately. I told her, I think it's because of stress. Because the specialist basically said there is nothing wrong with her physically.

I said I believe 100% it is stress that is causing her coughing to the point of vomiting. She then confessed that was what the doctors said it was too! STRESS!!!

Why am I telling you this? Do I think that you could have a stress induced ailment as well? Hell yes I do. I want you to ask your doctor next time you see him. State an open-ended question:
"Do you think this could be caused by stress?"

Many times doctors have to tell the patient what they want to hear because otherwise it creates conflict.

Stop and think about things and what causes them, also think about other huge negative life events and if any behaviors started alongside them.

I don't mean to sound condescending but you are a smart man. I already planted the seed in you and germinated that baby too. You will see my point sooner or later, give it time! It's a pretty serious mind-fudge.

Okay, I was in the shower getting ready and I couldn't stop thinking about this. First of all let me disclose that I am in no way shape or form saying that your metaphor is bad. However, I thought of some suggestions that maybe you could give me your opinion on.

You are the equivalent of the gnats that circle a dog's asshole in the heat.

I was thinking about the gnats, and gnats are great because we have all seen little gnats or fruit-flies before. However, I think a better choice would be to say that I am a fly. If you think about it, flies are more "engaging" they zoom around the room at great velocity in these irregular flight patterns and tend to buzz around people's face and head which causes stress. So, to make the metaphor more relatable and more intense. I suggest switching from a gnat to a fly, include an adjective about the fly too.

Next point, talking about "circling around a dog's a$$hole." Now your verb of the sentence is about "circling" which is okay however we can do better. Don't you want me to be doing something more annoying than "circling around a dog's" I think if you switched it to something like "flying in the eyes of" it would be more powerful.

Lastly, "in the heat" which is very basic I think you can find much better adjectives and descriptions. Use words that stimulate multiple senses!

Here @brutus79, I suggest you revamp your metaphor in the following fashion:

"You are the erratic fly that feeds on the cow's putrid ocular lacrimal secretions, spreading your seedy diseases from the decomposing fecal matter that the cow lays to waste in the sweltering summer sun."

Okok i got a question

Is every human negative experience considered as "stess" in your standards ?

If so, in 2020, at a time where mental states and diseases have never been so precisely described, why would you believe an opinion with such a low standard has any value ?

More or less, I will think of my exact definition of stress and get back to you.

Therein lies the rub.
You are the one that hasn't considered stress in the equation previously so now when I present something foreign to you. Your intelligence gets insulted because you have misunderstood how things works for so many years. As have I. And I can produce study on study supporting this. You are the one that hasn't read the studies!

There is no doubt in my mind that stress is the main cause for most of our problems.

Stress can do A LOT.

Had you heard of the widow effect before? That's indisputable. People are dying from stress!

There is something fishy going on don't you agree?

If you have any examples of somebody who you know that got fat I can help you analyze and find the cause for it.

Here is the thing you should ask yourself or other people about their issues. When did the problems start and what negative events were occurring at the same time.

And again, how to solve this issue with stress? We all have individual habits and experiences so do what works for you. Get off your ass and take this seriously. Or don't, your personal happiness or misery doesn't effect me. :p

LIFE is STRESS though. There is not one single person who DOES NOT have stress in their life so it would be pretty meaningless to trace somebody getting fat based on that.

Please define "stress" before going further, youll realise how vague your ideas are

Mental diseases have been linked with obesity, and here you are presenting "stress" as something new

You re 50 years behind my dude

Your confidence in your non evidence based theories is scary. “You’ll see my point”

seriously the scariest part about this is that you can’t see how dumb your theory is. Like you’ve fallen below the iq of ur average instagram model

@350lift YOU ARE STRESSED!!!! YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN OR YOU'LL GET FAT, SICK...AND DIE!!!!
You are missing citations, but yes, you are correct.

Do you remember Mike Tyson from 1987?

Alopecia areata is when you lose hair on different spots, Mike Tyson's bald spot in the picture above is the result of stress.

I understand you think it is funny to joke about stress and its detrimental effects.

My question to you is, would you have been as humorous in the face of a primed Mike Tyson?

"Relax, Champ, stress will get you. Ooo, big bad Tyson losing hair because of stress."

My friend had puppies, when the puppies were sold the Puppy Momma was losing fur on many places of her body too.

Stress.

Oxidative stress and alopecia areata

Oxidative stress and alopecia areata
Abstract
Alopecia areata (AA) is an inflammatory and autoimmune disease presenting with non-scarring hair loss. The aethiopathogenesis of alopecia areata is unclear and many factors including autoimmunity, genetic predisposition, emotional and environmental stress are thought to play important roles in its development. Antioxidant/ oxidant balance perturbation is a common feature in autoimmune, emotional and environmental stress. Therefore, our paper discusses the implications of oxidative stress in alopecia areata.

Oh, now you are flipping the script on me?

Now you agree and think I am dumb for not writing this post earlier? Btw, am well aware of the year the studies I posted were published. :D

You are too funny.

Sorry Gentlemen, you are derailing the thread and getting off topic so I won't respond.

Obesity and stress is the topic.

LIFE is STRESS though. There is not one single person who DOES NOT have stress in their life so it would be pretty meaningless to trace somebody getting fat based on that.

It's funny that you mention Sweden because we don't have that problem there. And the stress induced eating is one of many things that stress can do, it's common knowledge in Sweden, not here.
I didnt see hardly any overweight people in europe when I was there. There were some ugly ones though.

Moving iron said that 99.9% of swedish men are gay and there you go talking about planting your seed in 350lift. I'm part swedish and feel that you're doing us a disservice. :)
