Water Retention in face on cruise

started blast couple months ago, jumped from 250 test to 500, didnt titrate up. My previous test cycle I got no real water retention except for a little bit chubb in the face, this time is different, very puffy under my eyes and above and below my jawline, did a minicut dropped to sub 10% bf and that only helped a little. im thinking of trying telmisartan and hydrochloronizide.

Against that I'm using eplerenone and amiloride. Testosterone and estradiol increase aldosterone wich makes you retain sodium. Eplerenone blocks the effect of aldosterone on the mineralocorticoid receptors. So you pee sodium, and retain potassium. Amiloride is also a potassium-sparing diuretic but its action is on the ENaC (ihnibition), so you pee more sodium too.
Both can increase potassium, so you need to check it, but they work really great.

I ordered eplerenone from India, and I get amiloride only tabs from my pharmacy in France.
Are your estradiol in check?

e2 is in check, on the lower end, not a e2 problem. just water retention in my face really bad. do you get the epletenone from india here on meso? this bloating is taking a toll on my mental health and need it gone asap

do you think i can just get away using eplerenone by its self or eplerenone, amiloride+frusomide tablets combined together?

I personally hate furosemide and torsemide, I used torasemide and it is incredibly powerful, so powerful that I got a worsening in bloating the next few days because of the stress it causes due to strong dehydration

I ordered from Keshavdas and Sons on Indiamart (they are not on mesoRx, but some Indian seller should be able to get you these molecules.

You really have to monitore electrolytes and check for any symptoms for hyperkalemia because it can be serious. I didn't get any potassium increase but I'm taking salbutamol wich lower it.

Last option I never tried but that I have on hand is tolvaptan, a vasopressin receptors blocker. It makes you pee free water (without electrolytes) but it seems overkill and is liver toxic long term.

I know what it is to have the moin face, and I used to stock a lot of water on calves too, and on my hands to the point I was not even free on my movements in my joints. Diuretics help but are not magic. Eplerenone take some times to show full effects (and should be taken long term!)

Weirdly, lowering too much sodium is worse for me than eating salty at each meal (probably lowering vasopressin), so you have to find what's working for you...

If its that important to you then drop the cycle...

Hey I am currently cruising on Test P 140mg a week and have that damn facial edema. It’s not bad but it’s still there and ruins the face even though I’m lean. I’ve done EVERYTHING…e2 in lower end of range, no carbs, water, potassium low sodium, switched to the prop ester….I have learnt now that no matter how well I address these causes I can’t have my face looking like it does off Test. I am on Telmisartan 40mg per day. The last thing I can think of to try before packing it in for now is switching from ARB to ACE.. eplerenone as you mention. Do you have any experience or any reason to think that switching to an ACE will be superior to an ARB for eliminating facial bloat? As far as I can see the ARB does nothing for bloat for me but it was effective at managing BP. Or could I add the ACE to the ARB?

Thank you for your help

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I recently got my hands on some Triamterene/HCTZ (Dyazide) and was surprised at how little solid info is out there on it—especially in a bodybuilding context.

Anyone here ever use it as part of a drying out or peak week protocol?

What are your thoughts on this diuretic—pros, cons, how it compares to others like Aldactone or Lasix?

Appreciate any insight.

I recommend HCG. Running low on progesterone enchances estradiol's side effects. Anastrozole works too but progesterone is more effective.
I’ve never heard that. Are you saying that HPTA shutdown is causing an imbalance (low progesterone) that could be making me puffy faced? Interesting! I know absolutely nothing about progesterone if you could expand on this I would be grateful. I’ve loads of HCG here but don’t use it because of the E2 management problems it causes me. Never tried very hard to dial in with it though

i got recommended indapamide which is a potassium sparing, sodium focused diuretic.
and the year above recommended eplerenone which is also a potassium sparing diureti, and blocks aldosterone, which i have a feeling is a big reason why my face is holding so much water but im below 10% bf. anyway i placed my order will update when I start

Please do and best of luck. I was on Telmisartan which did nothing, maybe ACE’s are more effective.

Regardless of whether it helps with water retention (for you), eplerenone works great for LVH prevention/regression.

look into hydrochlorothiazide, indapamide, amildoride, and elperenone. hydro is what a lot of people use but it doesn’t spare potassium, taken twice a week. you need to take magnesium and potassium supplements when using from what i’ve read. i don’t know shit either at the same time we’re in the same boat but these i listed i’ve seen alot of good feedback on especially elperenone, which blocks aldosterone, from testosterone and estrogen fluctuations causing sodium retention. like i said thought look into these because we are both in the same boat so i cant really recommend but thats what i went with
