Weight GAiners?

Im trying to bulk up, I know my protien intake is pretty good getting about 1.5 to 2 per pound protien every day. But how many calories should i be taking in per day? And do you think a weight gainer is a good way to go? New to bodybuilding and trying to put on some mass before starting a cycle. ANy feedback would be cool.
 
Well, if you're "new to bodybuilding", then I don't think AAS should be anywhere on your mind. You've got 4 or 5 years to go before they should be, IMO.

Weight gainer? Gallon of milk. Cheaper. Heatlhier. Real.

I'm sure that would work. But I've been led to believe you need about 5 pints of water a day to keep everything moving and of course clean your organs. Me for one would have trouble downing a gallon of milk a day along with 5 pints of water! Do you really think water (or that much water) would be neccesary if your consuming that much milk?
 
Wait gainers are crapy, a cheap way to bulk up (sloppy water weight). I would suggest a good creatine product, although it's not recomended for individuals who aren't in a "so to speak" peaking phase.
 
Just eat your ass off bro! Shoot for 3500 cals. I tried the gainer and I totally agree, they are a complete waste of money. Eat real food. Grizz set me straight on the same type of question about a month ago and Ive gained about 10 lbs already.

Eat as much beef as you can, peanut butter(natural), pasta, gallon of milk, etc,... every day

You can do it, if you want it. Want it, do it.
 
I would suggest a protien supplement over weight gainers. A body builder can never get too much protien. I've recently been taking protien(whey) along with the real thing throughout the day and literaly pushing myself too become sore in the areas I've worked previously. It will help you recover fast with no muscle tissue break down, and have you ready until the next time you work those areas. I picked up six pouds of solid muscle in ttwo weeks, and I look and feel stronger. Protien Whey over Weight Gainers any day.
 
Whole wheat pasta every day for lunch and 80 gram maltodextrine with grape juice and creatine immediately after 4 pm workout, went from 220-234 in 8 weeks. Just a suggestion.
