What do people do if their address is burned?

I was reading this thread:

I wasn't aware addresses were getting burned, though obviously the technology is there to do so.

Potential solutions:
1. Use a friend
2. Get a non-USPS mailing box
3. Temporaryish office space (wework?)
4. Bribe the local coffee shop

That's not a thing. Addresses don't get burned.

Not that they couldn't with the available
technology, after one seizure. But for various reasons, they don't.

If addresses getting burned was an issue, "Reship" policies, standard practice. wouldn't exist, nor would a vendor be willing to send to that address again.

Unfortunately I work from home.

I need to rent some office space. Or start another business.

Maybe a strip club, though those are hard here in NYC because of zoning.

You didn't read it, and it's not relevant to my question.
idk if the premise is even realistic. I would think if someone flagged the address they monitor the shipments without notifying you to “build” a case. But regardless, I would never put family or friends in bad predicament assuming I already compromised my own address. Using anyone else is just adding to potential witnesses/evidence against you. No more plausible deniability

So I should open a strip club.

Back when I was sourcing years ago, I have "seized by law enforcement"

Terrifying as fuck. Its been years, but I think the guy has a history and they only found sema in the pack

You will also risk fucking up their ability to get into the programs that allow for expedited entry across international borders back into the US, like Nexus and Global Entry. A seized package of a college roommate ended up haunting a buddy of mine decades later.

UPS Store postbox is a popular option

So I should open a strip club and only send stuff to the strippers.

Good point

Maybe they send the notice in the miniscule chance that you'll turn yourself in, so they don't have to expend any more resources other than sending a couple letters

How would this even work?
Names do not need to be real and people move/rent all the time.

I should start ordering packages and putting the names of my irritating colleagues, maybe they will additional screening at the airport one day.

He doesn't know what he is talking about. Just whatever the search engine says

they simply dont care about your 2000$ annual use of hgh.

if you order 50kg of ak47 every 2 weeks you better believe they're building a case against you and everything going to your address is monitored.

addresses defiently get burned but thats something you have to worry about when we are talking in 100k+ shipments. otherwise you just get a fine and next

like some people even had their packages opened by customs and they didnt get seized

im sorry to break it to you, but you are not a real criminal, just some drug addict

i moved into my house x amount of years ago and no matter what i try, i can not get them to stop mailing me the previous owners mail. from the post office all they way down the carrier, there is literally no option i have found from keeping their mail from my box.

previous owner had passed away around Covid and is hasn’t stopped a thing.

i’ve thought about just going with it and addressing all my packs to John Q Previous, which would undoubtedly work, but it’s never been an issue.
