What is the most important lessons you’ve learned in life?

Dont date women you work with.

If you need to complain about work, don't do it at work or with people you work with. You bever know who is eavesdropping and will use it against you. The squeaky wheel gets replaced by a newer, cheaper wheel.

Without trust you have no relationship.

Find a partner that you want to talk to about everything going on in your life without fear. Ability to communicate freely in a relationship is important.

Never marry someone that always looks for the negative in life. Finds fault in everything you do and nothing you do is ever good enough. There are better women out there. Find a woman who supports you, can find the positive in life no matter how hard it is and has a sense of humor.

Avoid people who have no sense of humor.

Worry about yourself and not others and you will be much happier in life.

Dont be afraid to ask. The worst that can happen is a no. If you never ask however it is always a no.

When dating, if the other person doesnt ask question about you and only talks about themselves move on.

If you want a date to go well, ask the other person questions about them and their interestss. Everyones favorite subject is their self.....

And, lots more.....

Avoiding instant gratification in financial terms. It will work out much better 100% of the time if you live within your means and pay cash for everything. I spent all of my 20s buying shit i couldnt afford and paying out my asshole for it. Had i learned this lesson earlier i would of been 10yrs ahead and had a easier more fruitful path in life:D

Save ur money

To not be a pushover.
To not tells the truth if it works against you (I experienced this from a legal aspect! I was very naive).
To not bitch and moan about my life, and to work on solutions to my problems.

Given my character and upbringing, I think my 1st point is the main one that has changed my life.

If your mad/pissed at something your working on just walk away before you fuck it up more. ;) Plenty of other shit to work on. Not sure how much this carrys over to other things but it works well with cars.

Trust those gut feelings/instincts they're usually right.

Don't go to bed angry.
Lol that works for the thorniest issues that arise in the IT world. There were times I had to troubleshoot a server issue and threw every trick and hack at it and walking away from it for a bit helps spawn yet another approach for fixing the problem with the server and not to break things even more.
