What R U Eating ? ~OGH wants to know.....

This is my life.. and I will only eat basmati for the rice portion. I get the 25lbs bag from Costco.. A lil curry paste on the chicken too sometimes.

I'm not much of a carb guy but I keep hearing more and more about athletes switching over to basmati vs white or other. Is it a digestion or less bloat type thing? It would be nice to occasionally have a small carb up dish without feeling like crap afterwards from the bloat and what not.

Looks like a great start. Can I ask which rub you are using on that brisket? Looks on the orange side, I got something similar called Bone Suckin Rub (jesus that name... but it looked good).

Also, do you ever marinate your brisket overnight? I am thinking of marinating in Coca Cola and a hand full of other swank ingredients. My Texan buddy did one in Coke a few years ago that I still daydream about.

I just threw together that rub, salt pepper, paprika, chilli, brown sugar. Coated brisket in Worcestershire sauce then put the rub on. Turned out pretty good, I think I overcooked it a bit. Was moist last night but am thinking the leftovers are going to be dry. Of well, I'll do better on the next one
