The only thing a traeger isnt GREAT for. Steaks. Id prefer a flame grilled steak for sure. But thats where it ends. Traeger crushes it everywhere else
Traeger does not sear quite like an open flame, but have you tried the reverse sear method? It takes a little more time but works pretty good.. even better if you have a cast iron grill..
Opposite put on traeger on 225 for an hour, then pan sear on the cast iron. Absolutely kills it, that's how I did that thick ribeye a few posts upYeah i got a cast iron pan. So what are we talking? Flash it in the pan they throw it on the pellet smoker?
