my buddy's smoke house , he can smoke a cpl hundred pounds of meat at a time. Where i live its very common to have a big smoke house to smoke wild pigs, yummy[emoji4]


Damn . You guys get all serious here . Deuce & a 1/2 . Killer BBQ / Kitchen, killer smoke house . Showing us all how to party ....:cool:

Have you been to the Kenai or Copper River . THATS the salmon capitol of the world !
Yeah, I lived in Anchorage last year, while it is the most popular, due to ease of access, More Salmon run through the channel, and are caught in my islands waters every year than anywhere else in the world :)... biggest difference is the fact that it is all while they are still in the ocean, I.e. everybody fishes from boats... also most of the companies here are Canneries.
Last year I caught nothing on the Kenai or Copper River, came down here and everyone was bragging about the fishing, went out with a couple coworkers and in the first hour and a half I alone had ripped out 7 pinks, 6 Silvers, 1King, 6 rock fish, and a giant Cod. I could not believe it. And that's the typical day lol.... the crowning jewel of the day was my buddy hooking into and catching a 6'3" long 245lb Halibut :)
 
Brutus's post yesterday made realize I need to get back on the "boiled-egg train" again . I ate myself sick on them last year , but I also lost a solid 20 lbs doing it .So this morning it was 4 whites/2 whole eggs + 1/2 cup oatmeal . Big bench day :)
Back on the egg train! Back on the chain-gang....Time for a song ....

Did everyone forget Mrs.Ogh"s protein Cookies ?? Heres the recipe again , made some more tonight.....



OK - heres my wifes killer Peanut-butter/Oatmeal/Whey protein cookies recipe . Its really just a classic peanut butter/oatmeal cookie recipe with the addition of whey protein and flaxseed meal & wheat germ meal . The meal slows down the absorbtion of sugar and adds fiber . If the cookies are too dry cut back on the meal , not the whey protein . You can also substitute Stevia or other sugar substitutes for a lower glycemic diet. These are around 250 calories a piece and 15 grams of protein . 25 grams of carbs and 10 grams of fat. Enjoy !! :D

~Mrs.OGH"s Protein Cookies

1 stick real butter * 1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar * 1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup white sugar * 2-1/2 cups quick oats
2 egg * 2 scoops vanilla ON whey protein
1 tsp vanilla * 1 tbs flaxseed meal
1 cup all-purpose flour *
1 cup peanut butter * 1 tbs wheat germ meal



1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl beat butter,sugars w/ electric mixer until creamy.
2. Add eggs and vanilla and peanut butter; beat well.
3. Add combined flour,baking soda,cinnamon,salt,whey protein & meals.Mix well.
4 . Add oatmeal and mix well . Cover bowl with towel and let sit for 15 mins.
5. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons unto ungreased cookie sheets .
6. Bake 8-10 min until light golden brown . Cool 1 min on cookie sheets ; remove to wire rack . Cool completely. Makes about 3-4 doz cookies depending on size . I like big ones ! [:eek:)]
