1) take some chopped up onions and garlic and sautée them in some butter until they begin to brown. You could use olive oil, another type of oil, etc. I usually use clarified butter but Refular would work. Add a little salt and pepper.
2) add the ground beef, a little more butter, and when it starts to brown up drain some of the water out. A little more salt and pepper to taste.
3) once the meat is cooked to how you like it, I usually let a little pink through, add in some chopped up zucchini and squash. Don't chop them too fine. Leave them chunky a little or whatever way you want to cut them.
4) add in some water, maybe enough to cover 1/2-3/4 of the meat and veggie combination, add 1/2-whole can of tomato past depending on the size of the recipe, and a can of whole peeled tomato but cut it up I to chunks. More salt and pepper and some more butter or oil. Let it boil on lowish heat for 20-30min. It's done once the squash and zucchini get soft and mushy. Serve it over rice of your choice.
