What R U Eating ? ~OGH wants to know.....

Heartburn? Or just doesn't agree with your gut?

I didn't care for spicy food when I was younger, but now I enjoy a good sweat.
GI problems. I like a good heat and spice but it's been a few years since I've been able to eat it. Going to see a doctor about it at some point... maybe after it ends up killing me...

The baked zucchini with cheese, bacon and sourcream was tasty too.
I did ribs a few months ago in my instant pot.
I am a die hard smoker kinda guy but I must say they were not bad and only took about 35 minutes apposed to 6 hours on my smoker.

Nice meal by the way

Try eating legit fermented foods, like sauerkraut, kefir, Greek yogurt. It can't have been pasteurized, or the bacteria are killed. These products with still live and active cultures can be a little harder to find.
I had gotten to where I was eating these things regularly and it was night and day difference in my digestion. I slacked off for a while but getting back to it now .

I'm a sauerkraut whore and I do eat some greek yogurt. If my diet is truly clean with maybe 2 cheats a week or so, I do fairly well. Other than a wicked clean lifestyle I tend to struggle.

How many servings per day do you think it takes to make a difference?

I have a Himalayan salt block heated to 500 Degrees in the oven. I cook it 10 minutes on each side take it out let it rest for five minutes and that is pretty rare. 13 minutes each side and a 5 minute rest is medium rare xcetera
You pan seared first or straight to the block? Looks good, that's an expensive cut

I agree 100% , your health starts in your stomach. This stuff is a little pricey but well worth the health benefits. That bloated feeling is just miserable for me. IMG_0930.jpg

Not a lot. Eating a full serving of one of these a day is probably enough .
I usually get the kefir in every morning. Greek yogurt maybe a few times a week. And sauerkraut when I want to or when it's meal appropriate .

There are other fermented foods you can look into. Those are just the three I eat most often.

And make sure you're getting these with live and active bacteria cultures. The kefir and yogurt are easy enough to find. Sauerkraut that hasn't been Pasteurized is a little tricky. I get a brand called bubbies . Good stuff, but about 14$ per jar.

Agreed the true fermented sauerkrauts and kefirs are expensive but they also taste awesome compared to the pasteurized stuff. True greek yogurts (that have cultures) are plentiful. There are also several probiotic cottage cheeses out there that are awesome. Check out "good culture" cottage cheese. Super high protein content and made with sea salt, cultures, and just the basics. No crap fillers.
