What would you cut?

I just finished some elliptical "sprints"
Warm up 5 minutes on level 12
Level 15 hard as I can for 30 seconds
Rest on 0 for 1 minute
Repeated for 15 minutes for total of 20
Now I'm doing 15 minutes on bike onabout medium resistance level 8. Feeling good so far.

This might be a dumb question. Is it bad if you don't eat all your food for the day? I would think it wouldn't be and would help the cause of losing BF. But I've also heard eating to little can be counter productive.

So long as you’re getting your protein needs met then it’s no big deal

Just an update for the hell of it. Kept my daily nutrition the same but have been killing the cardio on the elliptical doing the sprints I described earlier. Now I've raised the intensity up to 16. And I'm only resting on 13 for one minute. When I feel like it sometimes during the session I'll extend the sprint . I have gone up to 35 minutes now and according to the machine burning about 550 cal. This Friday will be the end of the week 2 so we'll see what the scale looks like.

Ive been meticulous for yrs with tracking my macros and cals on paper till it really sorta took on a mental masturbation effect. In other words i didnt need to really do it because i had it down pat for a loooong time. I still think its important for bulking to track but thats for another time.

This last cut i just took up eating by instinct. But it was still in the confines of my known calorie goal. I just knew for a cut i like 5 meals a day. 1 of those is a protein shake w/metamucil mixed in. A large majority of carbs are out because carbs are sooooo energy and calorie dense. I prefer fat sources in place for cutting. So my breakfast is always 6 whole eggs and a meat src. Lots of good fats. And another high fat meal later in the day with some veggies. Say a steak with asparagus. The stuff in between is leafy greens and preferably fish or chicken. Sardines work great for being on the road.

It was a big step for me to do it by instinct but im pleased with the results and i didnt have to do no cardio either! But thats just me. I can get away with that. Like doc said about 1g/lb of lean BW. I even go a lil less with no ill effects. So about 220-250g of protein a day for me. But all in all your calories have to be in a deficit to lose weight. And by design your protein srcs will make up the bulk of those calories in a cut
