Food. Getting your calories in from clean whole foods is entirely different from junk.

People always say they can eat but in reality, they can pound the calories if its from sugary or fatty food but struggle when it's just plain meat and rice. This makes growth phase so challenging.

Same goes in cutting, nobody told me you will get mad hungry lol. Sleep will be deprived just from starving and you will lose your mind and barely function.

So yeah, food.
Chicken and rice. Can't go wrong.

Don’t go home if you can go heavy or hard.
Churchill said “Perfection is the enemy or progress” - that’s a lessons I still have a hard time letting sink in, but I’ve gotten a lot better with it. The intensity is something I’ve always been drawn to. The whole “go hard or go home” vibe. Reading all the books / magazines / videos / forums, being super OCD about optimization, training and diet, etc. Then life would get in the way, some other priority would bubble up and I couldn’t sustain that level of obsessiveness so my training / diet would wane, then drop. It would have been more beneficial to be locked into “something is better than nothing” and clock 3 mediocre, 30-minute workouts a week versus none. Progress would have halted or regressed a bit, but I wouldn’t have had to start all over again months (or years) later when I got back on track. The underlying truth is that even if I had made it to the gym for 15-30 minutes, the mentality would have kicked in, and I would have end up putting the effort in, even if only for a short period. Mailing it in is better than doing nothing at all.

For me, cutting calories too quickly does more harm than good.
When the above-mentioned intensity would carry over to dieting, I would cut my calories by too much and too fast, driven by the desire to see measurable progress. That would lead to plateaus where progress meant starvation and lean tissue loss. I would have been better off taking the longer road, milking every calorie drop until the weight refused to come off and then cutting calories a little bit more. The progress would have been slower, but over time I would have been able to get leaner without losing muscle mass and with a more manageable amount of calories.

Counting calories and weighing food is not that hard and doesn’t take that much extra time.
I get it, we're all busy, it's not "fun", but once you make it a habit it becomes second nature and really takes no extra time. I find that having a understanding what's going in and how it's impacting everything incredibly useful. Having an app to manage it is a game changer, it's as easy as tapping a button because you're generally eating some variation of the same 30-40 things.

To know the difference between a working set and a warm up set
This is a big reason why I miss training at a gym with pros. Nobody knows how to train with actual intensity at "normal gyms". Then, when all you do is train around common people, you start to lose that sense of intensity. Having people putting in actual hard work around you pushes you to train hard. You cant be the only one training hard for years on end, you lose your edge. And by "you" I mean me.

Popping 2-4 times a day takes up a lot of time. But it may mean you’re eating the right foods and enough of them.

I discovered those bidet toilet seats and it was hilariously life changing .
I bought one during the great toilet paper famine of 2020. Hilariously life changing is a great way to describe it. I never thought I could fall in love with a toilet seat but here we are.

There's no shortage of women that are attracted to athletic men of various sizes. Everyone has there own preferences. Some preferences just have a bigger audience.

Having gone from 150 to 250+ and back down closer to 200, I'd say the sweet spot is somewhere around a lean 210 to 220 - it's the maximum appeal for the widest number and variety of women.

The further beyond 220, I seemed to attract more women who were fetishists, strippers, sex bucket list seekers, into alternative lifestyles, etc. Not that there is anything wrong with that... to the contrary.

And then there are gay men. I pity the homophobic bodybuilders who can't handle all the attention they get. :D
Yeah, I can agree, we all wanted to look like Schwarzenegger back when we started training and bought some "super" whey protein powder. It is men's ideal.

That hot girl we dream about her ideal is totally different than we assume.

So is being muscular even helps? Yes it does and quite a lot.

However, her ideal is smaller yet meaner and leaner type of muscular guy. Something that I and you mentioned as an example of stats.

So what does it mean for guys who want attention from sexy girls?

Simple, but not as simple as it sounds to achieve and requires effort and willpower:
-Get in between 200-220lbs (no less, no more unless over 6'4)
-10-13% body fat (six pack abs, but not shredded or bulky >15% or you will not look appealing to females)
-Preferably 6ft or more (I know this one sucks, but guys who are shorter than 5'10 have harder time with getting attractive girls)
-Win/win

Man, I had this reality confirmed over and over again in my 20s and it just didn’t sink in. I had a bunch of hot female friends and when they would intro their crush he was inevitably some guy my height or at least over 6ft but 160 lbs. one of best friends was casually talking about guys bodies she preferred and I asked about myself, her response was: “Ohh I don’t know anyone like you”. I was 235 6’3 and 10-13%. I was kinda like a god if I went anywhere with my gay guy friend’s but women were just freaked out.

The reality of what women want Still didn’t stop me from hitting one cycle after another. So, pretty dense back then. I also recently started actually seriously counting up my cycles back then and realized I drastically underestimated how many I did.

Exactly, I can relate. Thing is when I was smaller by 15-20lbs and legit 10-12% body fat I got a lot more success with women. I know what you're saying man, since I'm just a bit shorter and 230 at sub 15%. I don't get as good results now. Which kinda bothers me a bit, but yeah like you said I too don't do this for females. If I did I would be natural and I wouldn't care about strength. I was just pointing out the obvious kinda by sharing my own experience and what others say in similar situation as us enhanced dudes.

I think something that plays a role in muscle attracting women though is not the muscle itself, but the confidence it creates for the man. Confidence IS pretty much universally attractive and being able to command a room does more for you than your abs will.

Men and women aren’t so different.

Much of what we are attributing to women finding physically attractive isn’t really that. It is the assumption about the man at bigger sizes that off-puts many women.

Women like us, make assumptions about very muscular men or are intimidated. He is stupid, he is arrogant or narcissistic, poor priorities, etc etc.

So I don’t think it is that (most) they don’t find us more attractive at those weights. (My wife assumed the same…. Then I opened my mouth and she was star struck) It is that they make poor assumptions.

Think about how many incredibly attractive women you have known, and how they flat out state they never get asked out or hit on. Majority of men are intimidated or make poor assumptions about them.

We are very similar creatures in that regard

I would no longer deadlift with the wrist supports with iron hooks.
When the weight became too heavy and I couldn't hold it with my hand, I just pulled with the iron hooks.
I had tendonitis on both wrists for a long time.

I definitely won't do that anymore. :/

I never tought bodybuilding would give me so many girls.. but im not that massively huge, i just look fit and strong

but if your face bloated, not good.. fit face(i also do a lot of cardio), nice skin, fresh haircut, a little bit of beard, good style and a fit body, and they all just get a little bit wet..

I’d say the opposite and wouldn’t have guessed that it would give me so much attention from men… straight men lmao
