I could not agree more on the over 40 crowd. It's like most have just given up and are letting themselves lose years off their lives and for what? Because they can't set aside 30 minutes a day to do some form of exercise? Is it really that big of a deal to eat 3 semi healthy meals a day?
I'll tell you one of the biggest issues I face. It's the medical system. The average over weight, lazy POS ruins it for most of us that stay in shape. I had to look long and hard for a GP that would take into account my lifestyle and really see me as I am and not just numbers on a chart. If you need to see a specialist then find one that deals with athletes because all the rest will waste your time.
Small things such as using creatine can skew kidney function results on blood work and a hard leg day prior to labs will increase your creatinine levels. A high protein diet can also present as a potential problem If your doctor doesn't take your life style into account.
Then you get a response that isn't accurate to your actual condition and your time is wasted trying to explain these things to a nurse or you get unnecessary testing ordered.
