Greg Anderson — personal trainer to Barry Bonds. Pleaded guilty on July 15, 2005, to one count of money laundering and one count of steroid distribution. Sentenced by U.S. District Judge Susan Illston on Oct. 18, 2005, to three months in prison and three months of home confinement. Imprisoned on contempt of court citations for refusing to testify to grand juries investigating Bonds from July 5-20, 2006, Aug. 28-Oct. 6, 2006 and Nov. 20, 2006-Nov. 15, 2007 and refusing to testify at Bonds' trial from March 22-April 8, 2011.

Patrick Arnold — chemist who developed tetrahydragestrinone (THG), also known as "The Clear." Pleaded guilty on April 28, 2006, to one count of one count of conspiracy to distribute steroids. Sentenced by Illston on Aug. 4, 2006, to three months in prison and three months of home confinement.

Barry Bonds — seven-time National League MVP. Convicted on April 13, 2011, of one count of obstruction of justice. The jury failed to reach a verdict on three other counts that the home run king lied to a grand jury when he denied knowingly using steroids and human growth hormone.

Victor Conte — BALCO president. Pleaded guilty on July 15, 2005, to one count of steroid distribution and one count of money laundering. Sentenced by Illston on Oct. 19, 2005, to four months in prison and four months' home confinement .

Troy Ellerman — lawyer for James Valente, he leaked grand jury testimony to the San Francisco Chronicle. Pleaded guilty on Feb. 15, 2007, to two counts of criminal contempt, one count of obstruction of justice and one count of filing a false declaration. Sentenced by U.S. District Judge Jeffrey S. White on July 12, 2007, to 2½ years in prison. Released on Jan. 16, 2009, after serving 16 months.

Trevor Graham — track coach to Marion Jones, Tim Montgomery and Justin Gatlin. Convicted on May 28, 2008, on one count of making a false statement to a government agency. Sentenced by Illston on Oct. 21, 2008, to one year of home confinement.

Marion Jones — Olympic track gold medalist. Pleaded guilty on Oct. 5, 2007, to one count of making false statements to federal agents about her use of performance-enhancing drugs and one count of making false statements to federal agents about her association with a check-fraud scheme. Sentenced by U.S. District Judge Kenneth Karas in White Plains, N.Y., on Jan. 11, 2008, to six months in prison.

Remi Korchemny — track and field coach. Pleaded guilty on July 29, 2005, to one misdemeanor count of illegally distributing the sleep-disorder drug modafinil. Sentenced by Illston on Feb. 4, 2006, to one year probation.

Dana Stubblefield — former NFL defensive lineman. Pleaded guilty on Jan. 18, 2008, to one count of making a false statement to a government agency. Sentenced by Illston on Feb. 9, 2009, to two years' probation.

Tammy Thomas — elite sprint cyclist. Convicted on April 4, 2008, of three counts of perjury and one count of obstruction of justice. Sentenced by Illston on Oct. 10, 2008, to six months of James Valente — BALCO vice president. Pleaded guilty on July 15, 2005, to one count of distributing illegal steroids. Sentenced by Illston on Oct. 18, 2005, to three years' probation. home confinement.
