What are they? I could look but I’m lazy
Pretty obvious it must have a tube for a vacuum hose somewhereI watched a video on it...i didn't see where it include the nipple to attach the vac hose. For that reason alone I'm going with zapcap.
The cradle for those things is like 170 bucks I think...
In the video the plugged a nipple into it attached to a hose. Did not see if they supplied said nipple.Pretty obvious it must have a tube for a vacuum hose somewhere
probably on the back side, not seen in this pic
Do they really last 500 mL before clogging?I use those. They seem to work fine.
Do they really last 500 mL before clogging?
btw do you gravity prefilter?
The 500ml is referring to the size of the collection bottle. If you put 500ml of oil through it which has 100mg of carpet lint, it would clog...it really all depends on what you are filtering when referring to how much it will filter.Do they really last 500 mL before clogging?

They include the nipple... I've used them many, many times. They work just fine.I watched a video on it...i didn't see where it include the nipple to attach the vac hose. For that reason alone I'm going with zapcap.

That's why I went to glass. Id crack them at 5psi and they were just a little to slow for me. I like having more surface area to decrease filtering time.I've only run 200 ml at one time. Cracked a couple lowers at 8 psi with a hand pump. I'd keep it below 5psi for sure.

Wish glass you just wash, sterilize and put a new sterile filter in and your good to go! Just my opinion though. I feel like this is the next safest thing if your newish to brewing and don't want to use a syringe filter.
Wait, you mean a set like a working set? You have to pump it that often? I only pumped it once and it would take a half hour to go down from 5lbs to 3lbs of vacuum if that. That was on the plastic pre-sterile ones too not glass. Wonder why your having to pump that often. As matter of fact I filtered 800ml once and only monitored it for an hour. Left for 19hrs came back an it had zero pressure and was all filtered. Almost like it gravity filtered itself the rest of the way...Huh.I bought a glass lower but I just like the sterility of the complete unit. I just hand pump a few times up to 4 or 5 psi, then do a set, hand pump again and repeat..

Oh that's why. It's filtering faster. I was using grapeseed oil and a .22Yeah man. If I leave it for a few minutes it's down to zero and not dripping. I'm running warm mct through it so it does 100ml in like 20 minutes. Maybe 30 minutes.. .22 pore size.
