Winlevi (clascoterone)

Does anybody here have experience with this medication?

And more importantly, does anyone have a sensible source? The only source(s) I found so far are on indiamart, but they are expensive, 50$ per tube with ~20$ for shipping...

I was also looking into Clascoterone and ran into the same issues as you re: sourcing. Perhaps getting into the weeds and negotiating with some of those Indiamart sources can get you some raws to make your own topical with, but that's too much trouble for myself, I was more just curious about this drug.

Are you interested for acne reasons (1% concentration clasco) or hair loss (5%)? If for hair loss, I can tell you that Pyrilutamide (KX-826) is now sold OTC as a cosmeceutical by the company who developed it, Kintor. Also pretty pricey, starting at ~$60 for the regular concentration and ~$120 for the high concentration, but you can be sure you're getting brand name product straight from the company with domestic shipping.

I imagine the KX826 can also be used for acne, as they're similar drugs and it's currently in clinical trials for acne in the US. But the concentration might be too high for acne.

If you haven't looked into accutane much, @Ghoul has a ton of posts on it. I haven't really read them as I don't get acne, but his info on other ancillaries has been quite helpful to me.

More importantly, this is about you wanting to be told about the source, nevermind what that stuff does, whether it works or not.
A good clarification I always appreciated, in order to get the answers you are after.

yeah, I gave up on winlevi, sourcing from indiamart is just a pain, it's full of scammers...

but I had the same thought as you, things like ru58841 or pyrilutamide could also be used in a topical form against acne

which anti androgen do you think would be best for this?

I am considering fluridil, spironolactone, and ru58841

I have also just found a source for clascoterone from Poland lol

I wouldn't really know, I'm not too familiar with acne. You have access to Fluridil? Assume you must be in the EU because I don't think it ever sold in America. I'm not familiar with Fluridil much, but it does have the benefit that it's been legal to sell in the EU for like 20 years, so I'd presume it's pretty safe, but I wouldn't know about its effectiveness with regard to acne. You could probably find some info on forums and stuff relatively easily though.

I do know that Kintor (as of last I checked) was pre-clinical in studying Pyrilutamide for acne, so they must have a strong inkling it would work. Would obviously be experimental but if you can safely put it on your scalp I can't see why it would be super bad to apply it elsewhere. Still, uncharted waters.

As for RU58841, that's like the dream drug when it comes to protecting your hair when using gear. I seem to remember people successfully using it for acne back when I was looking into it as well. It seems to be more effective than all the other topical AAs, but it's a complete gamble. No human trials. Lots of cardiovascular-related horror stories from hairloss forums, which I'm skeptical of because those guys would report life-changing sides from a placebo sugar pill, but still, a little too sketchy for my taste. You can probably get 50-80% of the efficacy of RU using one of these other topical AAs that have at least have clinical trials you can read.

I don't know anything about Spironolactone other than the fact that its used in oral form for gender transitions. That makes me sketched out about it, but it could very well be fine to use topically. I've seen mentions of men using the topical form for hair loss with no sides, so maybe systemic absorption is minimal. My only thing with something like this (and you should definitely fact check me on this because it's from memory) is that the other topical AAs were designed for topical formulation, so if any of it does go systemic, it quickly metabolizes into relatively benign metabolites that won't fuck up your hormones. Spironolactone is definitely not designed this way, so if you were to explore using this, I'd definitely do a lot of research on it.

If I was in your situation, knowing what I know now (which is little when it comes to acne), I'd definitely lean towards Pyrilutamide or Fluridil because they seem to have the most data and seem to have reasonable efficacy. But ya know, do your own research.

Is there any reason why you'd be opposed to Accutane? Again, I'm ignorant about it, but you have the massive benefit of at least knowing what you're going into with it. You can study it up and down to understand if it's worth the risk/reward. These niche topicals are a lot more speculative.
